"Yeah! So!? So did your guy!!"

Dude, you are pathetic.
bernie lost so bad. no one wanted him. especially not the working class.

at least when hillary lost the primary she got more votes from actual people. just like she does every time she runs for anything, ever.

Not twisting words. I'm just watching you try to turn this pigs ear into a purse. Unless you are saying it's like getting dad's stained underwear for Christmas and being forced to put it over your head for photos. That kind of gift maybe is an analogy I can agree with.

You didn't vote for Clinton
You didn't vote for Trump
You didn't vote last election? Maybe you wrote in Sanders? Maybe voted for a third party candidate?
By not voting or by voting for a meaningless third party candidate, berniebabies factor in to Trump as prez. That is their right. I accept that. But the excuses are rank with racism and entitlement.

Excuse #1, "I didn't vote for the least worst because that would be wrong".
Say that to a DREAMER who just learned they were going to be deported.
Say that to the small tribe of 1st people in Alaska whose ancestral home is being threatened by sea rise.

New Excuse, "it's a gift to the Democratic party"
Say that to a DREAMER who just learned they were going to be deported.
Say that to the 1st people in Alaska whose ancestral home is being threatened by sea rise.

The worst is when I'm expected to agree with your excuses.

hhaaaakptuie.
I'm not asking you to agree with me. I'm not saying that Trump is, or will be a good potus. He's likely the worst we've ever seen. All I'm saying is that from a strictly political standpoint, he will end up being good for the Democratic Party. I can't see any scenario where he will be reelected, and he's dragging the entire party down with him. He's not good for minority's, or low income families, or Alaskans, or pretty much anyone else. I agree with you on that. It goes without saying.

I certainly didn't have this in mind when I cast my vote. It's something that I've considered after the fact. I honestly assumed Hillary would win. I didn't like either option, so I voted 3'rd party. Am I not supposed to vote for who I want to? If I were being selfish I'd vote for the Republican candidate every time because of the tax implications. I've never done that.

I still don't understand how this view makes me entitled or racist. This makes no sense to me.

It makes you entitled and racist because you oppose the Democratic establishment talking points
no, it was explained very well by fogdog.

here, let me repeat it and see if you can address any of it, padaraper:

A white man with money isn't ever going to be harmed by Trump's policies or ineptitude. I can see how a white man can overlook the truly harmful acts and see how they might benefit in the long run. Barring Trump stumbling into a major war, I'm guessing you'll be just fine and lament the condition of the country after he's gong.

An ICE agent in a predominately Latino neighborhood now sends waves of concern and some fear in that community. Also parents are deported, or under threat of it. Do you know what an African American thinks about when they hear about his investigation into voter fraud that never happened? Maybe, that would be voter suppression and continuance of white male rule in areas that are predominately black. Is Trump ever going to address the issues raised for low income women when Texas closes Planned Parenthood?

Then we can talk about what happens to poor communities when sea rise causes flooding. Are they able to pick up and move on? What little they had is gone. Not only that but their community that helped sustain them is gone too. A person with means has flood insurance. Sure he'll take a financial hit but will "pull himself together and look on the positive side".

Oh, and now Trump wants to simply repeal ACA without replacement. I'm guessing you'll be OK.

Not a gift to a major portion of the Democratic Party. No sir.

This idea that Trump is the best thing that ever happened is a white liberal idea. Stinks of entitlement and racism. Can you see now why Sanders lost the primary when he completely lost the south? It isn't because media collusion. That idea stinks of racism too.

I understand your point.

"I couldn't vote for Clinton" is honest. I'm OK with that. Not that that matters to anybody but me.

@Unclebaldrick has said this, the whole governmental shift to the right and Trump's presidency is something we had to go through. I'm not sure what he meant by that. Maybe he's saying the same thing you are. Maybe this is an acceptance so that we can begin to move on.

I don't think we've yet plumbed the depths of what has just happened in the government and is about to happen. And, no, I can't say this is good for the people who make up the Democratic Party. Maybe the leaders. Maybe they will become more powerful. Or a new faction will rise up and they will become more powerful. I can't get over what's happening to people. Or what's about to happen. Fuck the leaders if they say this is was a gift.

And thanks UB for reposting what I said earlier.

the collective pulse you say? how much of a majority party do you suspect dems and pubs would be if 100% of voters showed up next election?
I think we had a statistical sample that says it's a tossup, assuming the EC is still around. Without the EC, Clinton would win again.

100% turnout would give dems a massive supermajority.

jew-haters that oppose civil rights and live in trailers while making less than poverty would get at least one rand paul into power, but that's about it.
