Ventilation advice needed please

Hi RUI.

Ok so newbie here almost ready for. our has set up but have a couple things I'm unsure of.

SET UP
1.2m x 1.2m x 2m Grow Tent (either budbox or gorilla)

1 x 600 watt sunmaster mh bulb for veg

1 x 600 watt sunmaster hps for flower

growing in soil less medium in pots.

going to be growing in a spare room. won't be able to ventilate direct out the window as will be seen. Any advice?

HOOD
I have heard mixed reviews on air cooled hoods and curious what you all think?

REFLECTOR
still unsure what suits my set up best?

EXTRACTION FAN
now this is where I am stuck. Please help!?
need some odor proofing too so car on filter recommends


INTAKE
do I need one of these?

INSIDE FANS
how many do I need and what would you recommend?

AM I MISSING ANYTHING?

Am interested to see any similar set ups if possible

Hay i Grow in a tent and like you stealth is a must, I use a standard 5 inch duct fan or ruck type fan for extraction.

you do not need a intake fan really but it does help, i ran my tent for many years using only a extraction fan, Doing it this way will insure you have a negative pressure inside the tent keeping smell to min.

I have used a few different carbon filters over the years including rhino and cheaper ones and all seem to do a good job, i would recommend a minimum of 5 inch extraction fan and carbon filter for your size of tent.

I'm in the UK and smell is an issue! also No hanging extraction pipes out of windows....
I think heat at this time of year is one of the biggest problems and i just use the cheap euro reflectors or wing reflector and make sure i have plenty of indirect air movement inside my tent.

Hood: you should definitely get a nice reflective air cooled hood if working in a square space.

Extraction fan: i use a 6" 424 cfm high velocity fan with a huge carbon filter in a square meter tent, 5ft tall. You could use that or an 8"

Intake: as long as your house isnt too sealed up the one on your tent should do. I didnt have to add anything special for that

Inside fans: i use a little 6" growbright circulation fan suspended moving air around. works fine for my square meter.

Intake fan doesnt matter if you have a proper size passive intake, youd be better off putting it into exhaust

Hey Dank, welcome to RIU. If I might, I may make a quick suggestion and go to youtube and watch several videos by Grow Boss. He will break down a lot of information for you in a no nonsense fashion. The guy seems a bit aggressive, but his information is legit.

If the grows for personal use just yourself a 600 watt should do the trick. No need for anything else. If i were gonna add id add some uv. Does wonders for trichome production

L x W x H ÷ 3= cfm. Over size the filter.

I run a 8 inch filter on 4 inch fan.

You new guys won't get the like option until after so many posts.

Interesting idea oversizing the filter but ive never seen a problem using the right size filter. And also using hps would recommend you change out the air more than once every 3 minutes.
