What I'd like to do is figure out how to ratchet the BS down so that we can find common ground against the right wing machine that as you gleefully point out is trashing progressive legislation that has made lives better for the larger majority of this country. Law Enforcement is permitted to lie, deceive, or anything else in order to obtain statements from people that they want. Having a Lawyer there to protect your interest is of paramount importance. Even people who never did anything wrong have been convicted because of statements the police obtained from them.
