I use a tec where instead of topping, i pinch the 2 newest top leaves, once they have fully opened and the next node has extended just slightly. It encourages lower growth without sacrificing a top. It slows vertical growth down a bit but makes for bushy plants with plenty of tops. 4 clusterfunk, week 6. Took a cutting of each today to put into flower to sex. Popped 5 beans but one showed beyond reasonable doubt that it was male. Usually dont trust preflower but this one was loud n proud! Do you have a system in place to keep track of everything? I use different colored plant stakes, the color represents the strain, then i number each seed as it goes into soil. Ill take a clone of each to sex, numbering each clone with the corresponding donor, then take another (usually 2) right before i flower. My goal is to narrow a strain down to 1 or 2 cuts. My keepers! Depending on the number of females i may give them a couples runs before i eliminate. But, in the case of my recent more cowbell run, 7 fems, i took 3 cuts right out of rotation. Im left with 3 very similar phenos of which im looking for the top yielder, and one with a much different structure that ill compare to the others to see if its worth hanging on to. I also prefer to pop a whole pack at a time, right now things are tight so i only popped half the pack of clusterfunk. A little insight for ya that may or may not be helpful!

Seems to me that these are the areas you need most help in:

1. Setting up your nutrient regiment with Miracle Grow Soil
2. Learning when, how and for what length of time to clone
3. Establishing a first time perpetual grow


once you have all those done then you can start drifting off into the pound per month conversation; that's the part where you dial in your cabinet & hone in your craft to fit your needs. Slowly but surely you will get there, one step at time, but don't stop asking questions

I'm going to be moving them in to a extra room with 2 separate closets the room is around 14x14x7 without the closets..... And I have a double bulb 4ft tf5 I have 3 coil 65w big cfls with homemade hood I ha e a 1000w dimmable ballast hps so that's what I got

And just so everyone knows I'm not here to front or lie I have 49 plants that me and some friends have planted and I should have made it a Lil more clear I have some that are about 4 to 5 foot tall but there all Reggie and I could give a shit less about them.... I'm here to learn more about inside grows not listen to people troll all the time.... Roll it up isn't for that so if that's what u want to do then go to facebook if u would like to help then thank you very much for passing on ur skills and info.... And if no one else helps that's kool but I hope that's not the case

Word. Hope i was clear? At first you are only pinching the tops 2 newest leaves, as other branches catch up you will pinch theres too, unless, and this is only mytheory so take it how you will, branches further up node wise may only have a single node that has growth to promote. In that case i feel the fan leaves have more to contribute to the plant as the solar panels they are. There are points where i will stop and let the plant fill out too. Its kind of a feel thing. And tread safely with the lashing out and name calling, people are cautious in this community for a reason. You can stick up for yourself and get your point across in more diplomatic ways.

Highest stuff grows first and most. If you are going to start nipping off grow tips, I suggest binding down higher branches so their tops are equal with lower levels.
This way the size of the flowers will be more even. I'd make a few chicken wire tubes I can slip over the pots to use to train those branches down.

Just a nip smaller than my space. It has a 12x5 and 9x5' scrog tables in.

The way i see it, cliping the leaves from the highest growth is slowing that growth and ecouraging lower growth to "catch up". This plant has only been topped once and ive been conservitive in clipping as it seems to be vertically challenged.
This is a fairly fresh clone, i rooted it, allowed it to root out a peat cup and tranplanted it into this pot and gave it its first pinching about 5 days ago. Eventually this will even out into a nice little shrub! .

I had, i thought you were adding on to my advice previous to your post? No big deal, just conversing and comparing tech. I was thinking last night, i didnt really go into the reasoning of my technique. Im pretty restricted in space and im juggling several strains with multiple cuts of each in various stages of growth. I tried lst with great results but plants just took up too much floor space. Using this method, i create bushy plants with many tops that stay more compact as far as the floor/canopy space they take up. When they go into flower i spread them out with the scrog method. In my co op flower space we have a couple different styles of screen, 4x4 multi plants as well as modular units that attach to 5 gal buckets. In my personal tents im using a pvc frame, the corners are drilled out and it slips right over the vertical poles of the tent. Its hight adjustable with these cam-tech caribeaners that use paracord. I use 2"x2" spacing on my screens. To the OP, play around and see what works for you. The most important thing though is the overall health of the plant. You can have all the tops you want, if the plant isnt healthy and vigorous, it will only get worse in flower.
