Universal Basic Income; 'bout time or batshit crazy?

you mean the ability to profit off of your own wealth and collect rent. no, you don't but you support that. thinking it will help you compete.
you don't want the state to tax but you want to be able to tax people freely.
taxing money, made from having money is a perfectly acceptable tax. money from money is called income.

if you earned interest in account, income.

money of account on account from labor is called wages.

an hour of labor exchanged for a sum is an equal trade, not taxable.

voluntary state taxes are acceptable. the gas tax for example. you can ride an electric skateboard to work.

Homeless people want clean socks and somewhere to take a shower. @ttystikk is doing NOTHING that will benefit them.
Nope, just helping to ensure there will be clean, available and affordable food for them and everyone else in the future.

Your nihilism has poisoned your brain.

Also let's not forget that tax breaks for corporations are actually handouts. Handouts that they don't actually need but are given so that they wish to and have the means to donate money to political parties. It's like a closed system that only the rich can be a part of.
The most egregious of which is the ability to dump unlimited amounts of cash into our political system and have every dime of it be directly tax deductible.

In other words, stealing money from the country with which to subjugate it.

Smart people invest money. Higher capital gains tax encourage it to be kept in investments instead of under the proverbial mattress. Keeping the money in the economy builds it for everyone.
smart money with large sums is just to throw it in the bank.
as for investing.
Whereas ordinary dividends are taxable as ordinary income, qualified dividends that meet certain requirements are taxed at lower capital gain rates
the ones gaming the system are up here not down there

I was staking no claims nor blackening anybody else's eye. Just making a simple pronouncement. As I drink my first cup of Joe as we Americans used to say way back in the early 20th century like around the time when Germany was threatening to rub out your great country of England and America was your number 1 pal right. That could be a yardstick for measurement as well as they fact that everybody and his brother from another mother want's to come to America some to work, live and love and others to kill us. That mate is irrefutable!
Enough flag waving pablum. You can't provide any evidence and in fact want to hold another country over the barrel for a war that we both fought for our own survival, pathetic.

The US is 19th in terms of standard of living and falling fast;

http://www.businessinsider.com/19-countries-with-the-highest-standard-of-life-according-to-the-social-progress-report-2016-6

Why is our standard of living slipping? Because people like you keep voting for those who would steal from us to pad their own already obscene fortunes.

I should also add that the US came into the war 2 years after it started. If I remember correctly the US entered the war when Pearl Harbour was bombed?
Up until that point the US lent/leased equipment to the UK, Russia and China I believe. Therefore making a huge profit from the war up until that point.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad that the US did help us out but it wasn't blindly doing so, it wanted it's pound of flesh (profit) for doing so.
You're wasting your breath. His ilk aren't interested in anything so banal as the facts.

i suppose we would have to simply disagree then. property rights, I would reckon, are pretty crucial to being free.

in the historical picture, for me it's liberty that measures the countries against one another.

inb4 worldwide slavery.
I was more talking about what makes a country better than others and freedom isn't actually that good a reason imho. Dump a guy in the middle of the Sahara and he has all the freedom possible but it ain't gonna do him much good without food, water, shelter, education, security (physical and financial) and a fair crack of the whip to improve his lot.

geographical isolation helps. I like the implication that guy is a country though.

You know "water cooled COB LED" just means a COB with an AIO CPU cooler attached?

And it can only ever be cooled to whatever the ambient temperature is at the radiator.

What you using as a controller for the cooler?

I do like it though, what wattage COBs you using?
That is an invalid statement.

I've been working on the same thing since the days of Knna, the only issue is the LED technology hasn't advanced enough yet to make it a viable option.

My design also incorporates water cooling, it is not subject to ambient temp, heh. In fact, the heat dissipation will actually cause the panel to be lower than ambient.

The known issue with LED is canopy temperature. LED doesn't produce enough radiant heat from the light source as HID does. The offset to this is running a higher ambient temp to increase canopy temp.

Maybe in the next five to ten years, just not today.

Tax deductions would still apply.
but 20% of every dollar then maybe what 5% back plus min 10% on everything you buy that's still 20-25% of every single dollar gone. that's theft. it hurts the poor. for those who can afford it it is a reasonable mandatory contribution .
