it's a wonderfully executed political game. create a monopoly by making it impossible for insurance to charge enough to cover all the costs mandated by the career politicians. of course this leaves only the public option.
the politicians guarantee their role from there endlessly engaging on the best way to run the one and only option, well your only option anyway; they have much better medical coverage.

If congressional Democrats supported enacting universal healthcare, they would cosponsor Conyers bill. The ones that haven't don't support enacting universal healthcare. If you don't support enacting universal healthcare, you're not a progressive. If you're not a progressive, you don't belong in the Democratic party.
