Question on water testing

I'm trying to figure out if I need to add calmag to my plants. I'm using canna coco and the canna line of nutrients. Watering with drinking or distilled water. When testing my water and runoff what setting do I use on my meter? I have a (.5),(.7),(mS),(lrS) I'm not sure what setting everyone is using when testing their water and coming up with the ppm. Any help is appreciated thanks everyone

You probably will benefit from adding some cal/mag if it isn't in your water. Always a good idea to check a report on your water to know what you are starting with. Sorry, can't remember the settings.

I go by ppm using an old Hanna at .5. Everyone says EC is the best but as long as everyone knows what the other is using then it's all the same. Here's a handy chart you can print out if you want to convert one to the other.

That is a great chart! Thanks OldMedUser I have been looking for something like that and didn't even know it!
No problem. If you need some digital reading material . . .

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS. I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as some are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.
