Hey guys, I was just wondering, are the seeds sensitive to temperature when using the water cup method or paper towel method to germinate? Whenever I check the water it feels kind of cold to the touch. I let my seeds soak in water for about 18 hours and they started to crack open so I switched them to the paper towel hoping this will encourage the taproot to come out. Gonna have to wait a few days to see what happens. What do you guys think? Thanks
Also, I only let them sit in the water for 18 because I was afraid to drown them. Prior to letting them sit in the water, I had them planted in damp soil where they were also absorbing water for about 24 hours, but I needed to be sure they germinated. Wouldn't have known in the soil. I'm gonna do away with the soil anyway and switch to hydroton clay pebbles.
