Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

Hey everyone looking for abit of help dimming my 10 cob kit from cutters using their 2 250 drivers.

Both drivers seem to be working fine without the dimmer.

I connect my dimmer with the 3way wagos and when i turn them on only one set of lights is working.

i got a 50k linear pot with a 5k resistor.

not to sure what im missing?

AFAIK; driver has 3 dimming wires, active, neutral and ground. You should have a 100k pot + 10k resistor for 10-100% dimming?

Either pot outside pins are for your neutral wire (-) and the middle pin is your + wire. You should only have 2 wires connected.

This is the pic i was following that i found on
here somewhere.

Im using 50k and 5k resistor because im trying to dim both drivers with 1 pot - this is just what ive learnt from search

so the 3rd wire i should ground somewhere?

Try wiring up the dim + to middle pin of pot and - to an outside pin. Leave the earth wire off.

Makes sense with using the 50k/5k for both cheers

Thanks for the help got them dimming.

Just wasnt sure if i had damaged anything since one set of leds wernt working so thought id ask before i kept having a go at it.

so the mars drivers I have are 50-100V @ 0.715 - 0.730A .... Pretty piss poor :| I have 3 of these... Which Cree or Bridgelux cobs would suit them best?

Ok great!

Have ordered 3 x Vero 29 C, going to take away the old heat sinks, get some pins and piss the noisey fans off :D

I'll be back with a build in a couple weeks :D

Oh and another quick question if anyone has an idea :P How about lighting a little 2.5 x 1.5 x 3 clone/seedling tent? would 2 x Vero18C do the job, or is that over kill? (again utilising another mars driver ;) )
 
50w per square foot would be a bit too much for clones and seedlings wouldnt it? maybe some little Vero 13's just for rooting clones?
