can you write mi spec for my 4 3070 3500k cree at hgl 185 dont know ampers tho.. I would like to know my total par coz i have 2x diy cree cobs led lights, and one chinese red/blu in my 3,3x3,3 tent (100x100cm)
Is this directed at me?
I'm not a super computer I'm afraid, I'm rather dim compared to a lot of the guys on the LED forums
I just used the DIY COB calculator app from the thread on here. It makes me seem far cleverer than I actually am!
But if you look at your drivers you should be able to find the Amperes, with that and the other info, Cant do it without knowing what current they are running though. If you know the power draw I can figure out the amperes.
I cant do anything for the Chinese light though because as I say I'm just using an app which someone else made based on an old legendary users data he collected. bongsmilie

everyone should check this live show out today @ 2pm east coast time.

LIVE: with Vitaly from chilLEDgrowlights.com NEW TECH!! AMA

Do you think this guy can make a diy programmable digital dimmer like he has on the chilled lights for cobs? So you can mimic dawn to dusk settings

I watch Vitaly all the time. I have a 6 and 8 channel controller just for led light systems. I use mine for reds, blues, IR and far red timing as well as COB timing. I do not dim my cobs, but I di and time the leds. works great.

wow, how did you do that? I have 4x cxb3590 3500k with 90 degree ref. and 1x cxb3590 2700k in middle without ref (115 degree). going to be spread across 3ft bar for a 4x2 tent. how can i find all those calculations, is there a website somewhere?

If you check out the OPs posts,in his sig there are two links to download the calculators, one for specifically citizen chips and one for citi, vero and cree. You need java to run it. But you just input the data and it gives you that info plus lots more.
Make sure you download from his sig for working versions.:blsmoke:

The new build: ( 32 ) cxb3590 ( 36v ) CD 3500K @ 700ma for a 4'x8' space
Parts List / King Brite Invoice / Budget: $2600+

This is my first experience with cxb3590s and to be honest, I am a little unsure if a 700ma drive current will provide enough ppfd for my 4x8 space. In designing this build, I wanted to be able to quickly and easily swap drivers to one HLG185h-c1400 per bar if I decide that I need more light. So I wired each hlg700 to be able to accept a connection from each bar, individually.

Wiring pictured in attachments: Using 2 DC female jacks, I wired the (+) from the driver to the (+) of one female jack, then the (-) to the (-) of another jack. Then I added a yellow jumper wire from the (-) of jack one to the (+) of jack two. This allows me to complete the circuit for ( 8 ) cobs to one 700ma driver while allowing me to quickly plug a bar into a 1400ma driver without rewiring.

Im calculating 659 PPFD, for this setup over 32 sqft. Do you guys think this will be enough juice, or do you think I should add another 8 cobs @ 700ma?
I am doing a similar build using Vero 29s 49 of them to be precise. I will have seven 600-watt drivers. I'm wondering exactly what it looks like inside your boxes that connect your for drivers together. I bought two project boxes I'm going to have 4 drivers on one project box and 3 on the other. Do you have any other pictures or insight

Anybody know where I can find a inline multimeter with a display so I can see how many amps / watts are being used at all time on my driver board and not the plug in type everybody uses

Get them from ebay they are called110v power meter there are two basic types one passes current thru a voltage direct connection the other uses a doughnut that the wires go thru to gather the current flow thru emf both work the same cost the same hook up different. You can see hookups on youtube
