Any creases in that foil will BURN your gals my freind......I like the way u set up the fan shows your willingness to improvise. ....although u could have had it blowing down from the top.....instead of the foil get something white to cover inside the tote .....better than the foil..

Aw, does somebody have some misplaced butt hurt??? :finger: You use tissues when you JACK OFF YOUR EGO??? If you don't agree with someone, chances are you answer like a DICK. Seen more than a few say the same thing. I'm not here looking for advise, Waiting on my grow to finish. Your a DICK most of the time. I wouldn't listen to ya. Guess someone in your world PISSES on you all the time. Shows here. I just block DICKS like you. ASSHOLE

The guy's (OP) in soil J dog. My comment was soil related.

To up pot to a 5 gallon pot from where his plant is. Is good for your DWC. Not so good for the soil grower. He would be more effective to up pot from solo's to 1's, to 3's, to 5's, etc, etc...

The idea being that as he up pots to new soil in a bigger pot. He would not have to use any veg nutrient if he was using a proper 30 day base soil like FFOF, Potter's Gold, black Gold, Dr. Earth's Potting soil, etc, etc.

When the plant is just about at the height that he knows will fit in his area - after the stretch. He would do the last up-potting and let it run veg for 8-10 more days and then move to the bloom area. Feeding starts then, with proper balanced nutrition ..

Little thin skinned sport? I did nothing that should have gotten that reply.

I'm still being nice. Grow up and stop being a cry baby!

Like I said, You sound kinda smart... But the ASSHOLE gets in the way. You must have to suck someone off out in your REAL WORLD. So being an ASSHOLE on here gives you a warm feeling.

I've been meaning to out the fan on the top, just waiting to get a bigger fan and rearrange some stuff and maybe turn my side fans one to pull out air and one to push in air, thank you for the foil advice I read it wasn't good but I wasn't too sure why. I initially going to buy a white bucket but it was double the price of this one. Do you have any recommendations for a white material to use on the inside?

IMG_6521.JPG Smallish bucket but I was planning to train the roots of not thee plants then my next try

Your comments tag you as a high school schlep (or very soon after), with self worth issues. So you deflect your pain on others.
Your butt hurt began before you got here. If you like nice and peaceful. How about you go over to Grasscity but, be careful! They don't allow capitalisation, exclamation points or least of all, cuss words.

This is nothing. You should let this go now.

PANDA FILM works great. The other thing would be to paint it with a ceiling paint - Flat White...That reflects 85+% of all light.

Another thing is. Always pull air - not push it.....More efficient, uses less power.

Like several of us have said. Time to up pot. Use a normal black plastic pot. If you were to grow outdoors in pots, then the white pot would be what you want.

If you use some Kelp extract when you water after up-potting. It helps the roots grow faster/stronger. It's been reported in college research, that Kelp will increase the root mass by as much as 173%.....5 ml a to a gallon of feed. GREAT STUFF!

Ooh yes paint is a good idea, I should have some ceiling paint. And a small for the pot, I’m gonna change that within a few days for sure, busy working during the day. I’ve heard about kelp extract I’ll have to look into it, those numbers are insane!

Also at campus I saw this project testing the effects of smoke on plant growth. And using smoke infused water the plant more than doubled in growth. I’ll have to take a picture of it to post here

This is insanely interesting! What dept and what class? Is this a lab experiment for a paper by a grad student? Man if you could get his contact info and PM that...... I would love to pic the kids head on this......

So many variables. So many questions!

Smoke germinating seeds! Usually plants that grow in fire prone area's need smoke to activate the seeds (after a forest fire). I know of some nurseries that offer smoke treated seed stock.. usually they trade in rare and possibly psychoactive plants/seeds.

IMG_20140101_111902.jpg Sure there are loads of other places you can source this. Here is little bit of info:
Simple to use – convenient, effective and economical. A completely inert granular material soaked in smoky water absorbs an amount of the chemicals that naturally occur in smoke from the burning of bush materials.

Simply sprinkle it on top of the soil or potting mix after sowing the seeds. The first watering washes the smoke chemicals around the seeds to boost germination. Seed Starter can also help produce stronger seedlings and improve their survival after germination. In those cases where the seeds need to be soaked in hot water before sowing, a small amount of the granules can be added to the hot water and left to soak with the seeds to help trigger their germination.

Australian researchers have shown that a group of chemicals contained in smoke named karrikinolides are extremely potent germination stimulators active in parts per trillion.

Pretty sure adding a little fire ash to your substrate (better if soil or coir/perlite) will provide a similar result. That or just dump a pile in a hole growing outdoors. Plants get too massive...

Thanks guys, I watered it and within an hour it perked back up. Yeah that's true I guess I'm gonna have to learn by failing, it's my first plant so I'm still getting all the materials and stuff together and getting the hang of it. Busy making a grow box/bucket
Easy way to tell if it's over vs under watered

Overwatered - the leafs will look rigid and will droop.

Underwater - plant will bend at the stems and look lifeless.

I love your enthusiasm I’m gonna see online if our campus has info on it. But otherwise I’ll definitely get a picture of the this poster, hopefully as soon as I can

IMG_6833.JPG IMG_6832.JPG IMG_6835.JPG Plant update; finally painted the grow bucket white. well I didn’t have ceiling paint so I spray painted it with glossy white. Put my plants in a new pot, sadly I had one huge one and one smaller one. I’d prefer the 2 smaller ones. But we’ll see how it goes from there.

The younger and more dense plant seems to have 2 light yellow blotches on the leaves. I neglected the plants on one day becoz of work. Then watered it again. What do the whitish yellow blotches entail?
