Lollypopping Autos?

Hey Guys,

Like the title says, Id like to know if anyone here has grown Autos and lollypopped them in flower?

I know you're not supposed to do too much to autos, but I wouldn't think taking off the really small stuff at the bottom of the plant would cause much or even at all stress to the plant?

Has any of you that may have done this notice any loss of yield?

The theory of how these plants grow suggest to me that this slight lolly popping would actually help these plants also..

I haven't lollipoped autos, I've topped two and it worked out. I even supercropped my nirvana northern lights a few weeks after I topped it to stop all apical dominance on the two mains. It looked stressed for a couple days then it was back at it doing fine.

If I were going to lollipop I would do a few branches at a time and see what the plant does.

i dont get on here often enough to know how to pull up my old threads but somewhere on here i have a grow log from a few years ago showing that you can infact hack on autos and get decent results, it will of course depend on genetics, some plants will not react well to it, others wont mind it much, i believe i was doing blackjack auto with that grow and did several varitions, some LST, some lollipop, some topped. The only way to know for sure with what you have is to try. the only thing i recall not being able to do with an auto was clone it but i never really expected that to work anyway xD

Yupp genetics i would say has about 60% of the "power" in this equation, environment, growing method, and skill will also be determining factors in this, but without strong genetics all the other factors are minute. Idk where you get your seeds but if they show the % of ruderalis gene in it look for ones will less than 50% of that gene- example would be look for something that is 60% indica 40% ruderalis, if your supplier doesnt show gene % then look for something that atleast says "indica dominate" crossed with ruderalis genes.

i did 1 auto before i lolly popped it so i would not get the bs pop corn on the bottoms . it grew very well . i have not been on in a few i want to give shots out to all my friends on here i miss you gary goodson how are you don,t choke on your bbq im sure you having for the holiday . idk if anybody would be nice enough you lend a hand to help you out of the situation lmao

I have FIM'ed my autos before

but only during the first 2 weeks of veg

there's very little reason to crop during Bud/flower

as growth is no longer the plants concern
