Hi all I hope some 1 can help me out here I already have a 8 cod CXB3590 3500k DIY build runing on 2 HLG-240H-C1750B drivers. As ok copy of a Growmau5 build. But I want to upgrade it to 9 cobs and use a HLG-600H-36B driver I know I will have to wire it in parallel. that is about it.
1) can I run 9 cobs
2) do I need to use Resistors
hoping some one can help before I blow any thing up

I would not use that driver because Cree suggest you run cobs in series. In parallel if 1 cob dies the voltage goes up on the remaining cobs which will damage them

You will be fine with that driver. Most of the 3590s I came across where pretty tight VF wise. Thermal run away with that combo is not of concern as the driver will limit the current before giving any single cob 100 watts.

Like Stephen and Airwalker said you'll be fine and you'll have to run them in parallel with that driver. If you're only adding 1 extra COB, why not just get a small driver for the 9th cob instead of having to rewire everything?

I will be adding 4 more cobs next week when the parts get here greengenes said that I need to keep it even as these divers have 2 channels. I need the 2 HLG-240H-C1750B drivers I have the 8 CXB3590 cobs running on ATM to power 2 x 4 CLU048 cob builds I am doing. I run all my cobs on 150mm passive heat sinks and never over 55w each 17425063_746152482222474_5644872090977423602_n.jpg 18301477_771505766353812_8529660167867248725_n.jpg 17499367_746152255555830_5940597820615907144_n.jpg 17425063_746152482222474_5644872090977423602_n.jpg

For parallel you would need a constant voltage supply. That one appears to be Constant current.
