Need Ideas For Organizing Extensive Seed Collection

This is what I keep mine in. Wine chiller. Jus a tad smaller. It was 200 bucks. It holds 18 bottles. But it was my dad's from the 70s. He use to grow. When I get home I'll take a pic of it. I have a bunch of stuff that's 40 years old. Idk if they are good or not. I've never grown any put since he died. It's been set on 46 degrees. That's what he set it on the. He bought and NVR changed it. He took racks out and put in plastic slide in shelves

Nice! I'm going to find something like that for mine! I had a chance at one a while back and let it get away. I would love to see the pic. I love old stuff and I collect a lot of midcentury appliances, cookware, and stuff. I think it's really cool, and usually very well made.

Alot of it isn't labelled. And alot of that is the pen or market has wore of. I'm sure alot of it is from some serious frosty fire. And alot of it is prob junk and or no good. Prob 75/25 ratio. 25% maybe decent to good. And other crap lol. But it's more sentimental...

I would be really excited about trying them out. Probably some real treasures in there. I would do a lot of research on germinating older seeds. I know that some people have had good success after 30 years. The fact that they were kept at a fairly stable environment certainly helps. I hope you will give updates on your progress.

Yeah I'm actually getting ready to start a journal on here. I have beans due in the mail tomorrow from farm house genetics midnight fantasy (bright berry x kurple fantasy) plus some freebies called gaddys gift pack idk what's in it. and a order that just shipped today from gorilla.... To me everything about it is addicting. Well the growing side of it. I don't think smoking it is, as growing it to me. I mean I love to smoke though don't get me wrong. But watching your work turn into perfection. Ya kno

I agree! I get more enjoyment from the growing than from consuming...although I like that too.
