Do you think I should buy a new light or is this a good height now that I raised it probably as close as I can safely. I will get some sticks to tie them up to.
I'd recommend a completely different lighting system, or at least moving that humidity hood until you can afford one. 4,000 lux can't be too much PPFD. Look into COBs.

I can afford whatever. Let me tell you my goal. start a small grow indoors and transplant it outside when the time and size is right. The local grow store guy told me start with this one? Ill gladly change it out to something else if this is not the correct or best way. Im not trying to do anything indoor massive grows. I can remove the hood no prob. If I give them a spray mist every other day because the grow pucks seem to feel dry to the touch is that good or should they be moist at all times? Im sure if i didnt care n didnt pay attention theyd do better than me trying to get the hang of this and orver thinking things lol. Thanks in advance.

It's just not enough lighting, probably even for one plant.

Something like this is what you want:

Thanks alot! would this me the kind of lamp I could use start to finish? I was told at the store the one i got was good for starting them and then transplanting. However, whether I transplant outdoors or try a much more controlled indoor grow would this be good start to finish? TY

Im reading the site top to bottom. If I wanted to keep in the legal limit of 12 or less plants would i be better off to buy multiple smaller units or one bigger?
I read I want to be in the 600-900 PPFD range. anything more is overkill and can damage the grow.

Im doing some research on this site to see if there is anything else that would be comparable, better, or if this is one of the best bangs for the buck. Thanks

I would go 900-1200, but no lower than 700.

Best bang for buck is COBs. 241w = the PPFD of a 600w HPS for less than half that wattage.

I was thinking about changing my idea and doing a part outdoor grow and a part indoor grow. Does anyone think this is a decent setup for the price? Im kinda looking for all in one setup or if anyone could tell me a list of items i guess I could try to piece it together.

I tried to find those specs on Tasty LED but couldnt find it. I was wondering if its a different manufacturer? would you recommend tastyled as top of the line or this one : Best bang for buck is COBs. 241w = the PPFD of a 600w HPS

Im a bit confused with all these numbers, watts, led/lcd, etc

What are you talking about? It's on the front page. A T1 puts out about 932 PPFD at 12-16" in an 18x18. Get three of them and you cover something like a 3x3-4x4. Or just get a T2. A 600w HPS puts out about 900-1100 in a 3x3. The T1s I use (lights only) take 241w, 270 with fans. I'm talking about light wattage, of course. I highly recommend Tasty, and all other advertisers here, such as Johnson, Timber, and others. You could also DIY with parts from people like @CobKits for cheaper, if you know how.

DO NOT BUY PLATINUM OR OTHER PANEL LEDS.
