They are not taking out 1000 watters are they? I know they say the numbers are there to bet a SE bulb, but have you seen one beat a 1000 watter yet? However Quantum Boards are pretty sweet too.
"one" certainly won't, but a decent array of 6-8 of them running at 75-100W each might.but have you seen one beat a 1000 watter yet?
You can only run a quantum up to about 140 watts(I could be a little off on that), so of course one qb isn't going to beat a 1000. Seven to eight hundred watts of qb would easily match a 1000.They are not taking out 1000 watters are they? To replace 1000w, You've hit the nail on the head there buddy! Bang on info!"one" certainly won't, but a decent array of 6-8 of them running at 75-100W each might.
Wouldn't one just be better off going DE then? Or would 800 watts of qb run cool? And what would the foot print be on 800 watts of qb? Like 8x8 6x6 or do you just throw 8 qb in 24-25 square feet of canopy? You can only run a quantum up to about 140 watts(I could be a little off on that), so of course one qb isn't going to beat a 1000. The biggest advantage(again, my personal opinion) to quantums is micro grows and if head space is an issue. QBs make growing taller strains in tents possible. And like cobs, you can match or outperform an HID using less watts.Wouldn't one just be better off going DE then? Or would 800 watts of qb run cool? For the OP to drop coin right now on grows he can see that have beat or matched 1k hps runs Cobs would be the only way in the led category. In cobs we've already seen 2+ pound grows in 24 square foot canopy with i think roughly 900 watts thanks to ttystikk, we've seen the mouse guy do I think more however he weighed stuff a lot of patients would pass up. And I think he mentioned that. And we've also seen greengeene kill it weighing fully top shelf buds and separately showing us his his lower branching stuff for pressing. Im probably wrong, just pointing out what I've seen here on the threads.
I don't like that the cobs are placed so close together. One of the biggest advantages to cobs is light spread - multiple light sources. That's a nice light, but the 600 watt Timber Citizen frame would have a better spread, running less wattage.Cx-16 is supposedly the same as 1000w check out Johnson and Budmaster
having the cobs too close together carries over into the other Johnson lights as well I have a cx-6 & I only have 2 complaints 1 is the cob spacing the other is the made in China sticker I expected a us made lightI don't like that the cobs are placed so close together.
