a bong uses a rubber grommet between the bowl and the female... ROORS are glass on glass, meaning that each piece has a worked glass connection that creates an airtight seal... so its all smoke, and no air...

Beyond that... hit a roor and you'll know the difference, lol.

I useda a apple once, it wasnt to bad it was fun just the fact I was smoking from an apple.
A carrot I never thought of but trust me I will be using one.

hey man, sorry for the egregious delay in responding... been outta the loop for awhile...

you can get roors at a lot of places. I have had luck with everybodydoesit.com... but most head shops (decent one's, anyway) sell roors. I would just suggest you aim for the 18mm down tube, 7mm thickness if possible. that is the best combo in terms of smoke pathway. Also, the beaker bottom is a smoother hit, and i think it's better for everyday smoking. But the straight shooter (with tiny reservoir) will knock you on your ass, but can get harsh, the water gets realllly dirty very quickly. I recommend the beaker bottom, i think its still called the dealers cup.

Well when i first starting smoking with my glass pipe i was in love with pipes it was all i smoked out off, but when i bought my Bong Wooooo, i sold my pipe cause it didnt compare to my bong, but my second favorite smoking tool would have to be a Water fall bong (Gravity to some people) Watching the bottle Fill up with that Creamy Funky smelling green shit, just a good feeling and hitting it even better feeling
