Fast Buds, Mephisto, Dutch Passion Grow

Nicely done! That's the awesome thing about growing, there's always a learning curve or just simply put, different methods. Those plants look awesome. I'll be really impressed if my autos are comparable to yours by the end. I'll just post an update of my autos. The two larger ones (I started a week before the others) are showing signs of preflowering already. The two oldest aren't even a month old yet (I don't think anyway). When would be a good time to start adding some veg/transition nutes. The soil I use has plenty of nutes to keep a plant going for about a month (roots organic). Also, does anyone know when the best time to switch over to hps. Should I wait to see some legit buds growing before I switch. Thanks

I can't give you a clear answer on switching to the HPS since that's all new to me, but when I was growing in Ocean Forest, I would shoot for around a month after they popped to start using nutes. Those ones preflowering should be just about ready to go but every situation is different. What kind of nutes are you using?

Thanks thanks. i have some fox farms grow and some botinicare transition nutes (my local shop was handing them out like hot cakes). I was thinking of just using the transition nutes in about a week or so, and then once I start to see some small buds forming, I will switch to a very diluted solution of tiger bloom. Does that sound like it should work out about right. Hard to say I suppose unless you googled every nutrient I have ha. I'll most likely start giving them a little transition nutes in a couple days. I was told by another auto enthusiast to keep the mh light on until just about all vertical growth stops. Hmm

How far is your light from.plants might wanna lower it's some.I like.to.keep.my lights close to plants without burning them

. I never agreed with that "get the light as close without burning) theory. I've watch plants burn from to much hid light. 16" set at 600 watts now. I will probably ease it down in a couple days, being that I had just bumped up the wattage from 400 to 600 watts. I probably will keep the mine set at 600 watts, no higher

Actually now you got me thinking, especially being that I'm not growing in a sweaty moist tent this time,.....anyway, i bumped my wattage up to a 1000 watts for a few reason. Gave what you said some thought, needed to heat the room more, and for another reason I can't think of right now ha. ANyway, here's a pic of the plants with my light in the pic. Thanks for the food for thought. Also, it looks like I have a male in the batch??!! How is this. I didn't stress the plant out. Is this common. Looks like a male to me.

After you grow out some Mephistos, might as well throw the rest of your seeds out, they will never be the same. Definitely raises the bar!

I can set my cobs right above my lights with out burning the plants

The marshydro s i had I had to keep them high above the plants or it would bleach the leafs or cause Cal.mag deff real bad so I got rid of them but instill got one.600 that I customized I put 10 3500k diodes in to.make it brighter I guess and it works good so far since I put them.in

Sounds like you know your stuff about the lighting you use (leds correct?) which I've heard great things about but personally have never used them. Always used t5 and mh/hps lights from the beginning. I usually just adjust according to how the plants like them, then once I figure that out, I try to push as many lumens as possible without being damaging

It's only been a few days since I've put the HPS in but I can't believe the progress already. I started a new job this week and have been a little worried about the gals but they seem to be very happy. I was in a rush and only snapped a few pics but have been super thrilled.

This little pretty lady has mad a full recovery and absolutely LOVES the HPS. I've never had a plant with such big leaves on it. Still really no signs of flowering but I'm just being patient with all of these.

Been trying to dial in my PPM and stick to a more consistent feeding schedule.

Just can't wait for these gals...

Loving the informational updates and pics. I definitely appreciate it! Keep it up dude. They are looking great. That hps should really bulk up those buds. This thread has been very helpful for me. Thanks again dude

Not really even keeping track of what days these gals are on, they've just taken a mind of their own and I'm just gonna let them grow.

It's been exactly one week since I out in the HPS and I have been very pleased.

Man, this new job has been a real shock to the system! Go from being laid off for 5 months to 50+ hours a week has thrown me for a little loop

Sadly, things were a little more neglected. I've had no luck with my new time saving seed starting method and have lost the last few I've put down. Luckily I can try to do a little work with the holiday this weekend...

But to get caught up, here's so pics of the gals I was showing before.

On those last few close ups, you can actually see resin oozing out. Can't wait to smoke it!

So chunky and smells so gosh darn delicious! I described it as blueberry pancakes to my mom. Hoping to have her down in the next week or so.


Auto Ultimate
Had to move her outside. I would have to have her all alone in the tent in order to have enough room. Crazy big. I have no clue how it has enough room to grow in the 5 gallon.
