Thought about that too - In mountain area we get enough humidity as it is in the winter months...

Using water to help remove dirt for expansion... When this side gets done - the other side of the space is waiting for the same work to be done. Soon as these areas are removed - 4 clones of White Widow will be added to this grow.

Front half of under house was a workroom - Now it's turned into the clone room.

Week 5 vegging

As far as I can see - The XNutrients are working fine. Currently useing three of their products in vegging and for the mothers. Quite a bit more dirt to remove for expansion. A good deal of work getting all walls painted flat white and putting up new mylar.

Time to paint the stereo white too...

Begin Flowering

Haven't had time to finish digging to enlarge. Room is at the point where they need to go into flowering due to running out of room so lights were flipped. One hundred ten or so days to go. Spent the last month getting rid of a small outbreak of white powder mildew on a few plants. All plants are now healthy and ready to begin their march toward the sea.

Tossed in twenty babies since I now have the space and extra light coning in soon.

Running 6k HPS

Sprayed entire garden with second stage of white powder mildew removal. Spent last month using Safer Soap for mildew. Now switching products as recommended by many using different organic spray that can be sprayed on day of harvest... Two rounds of this and all mildew will be gone since 95% of it is gone now.

Plants just got through 5 weeks of treatment for white powder mildew.
Plants fine now - They look messed up due to residue from soap.

Week 3 of flowering...

Girl Scout Cookies making up the big plant in the middle.

Bottoms of pots cut out so plants can grow into new are not yet finished. Plants on left in buckets are waiting for a seat to the show...

Plants do well, no mildew... May spray one more time as a precaution.

One of my fav grows on here. Them are some beauties! Ibgot the same fans. Love em. Im growing afghani #1
Presently using 5.6K HSP and 1.2K LED

Thanks for stopping in... A year ago one of my wall mount oscillating fans burned out. I replaced it with a bigger one that doesn't move because the wall mount allways caused vibration sound inside my house. The small ones on the floor run on low to move air in two spots that don't get enough circulation. This grow turned out to be mostly Afghani so stay tuned to see what your plants will turn into. Not sure what the differnce is between Afghani and Afghani 1... Pretty sure my strains are legitimate (not sure about Northern Lights - free seeds from a Northern Cal grower) as they were all purchased from a San Diego based company called StrainBank. I check out information on Afghani 1 - The info I found said 45 - 55 day flowering! Afghani is also supposed to be short, but they never finish in 65 days for me. This will be the first time I've ever taken all strains 100+ days of flowering until they are showing at least 40% amber. Going for couch lock to get stronger medication... Next week I'll get a good pic of the Afghani - This weeks closeup pic is Girl Scout Cookie...

Dealing with a small burp in the process - small outbreak of fungus gnats... Want to take them out before infestation time...

I wonder if there is any difference. I was given a bag of seeds from a fellow grower ik and said he got them out in colorado. I popped 3 outta 7 and what ya know 3 females. What r the odds. Idk if they r reg seeds or fems. Fems would be cool tho. Man i hate those gnats! How r u going to deal with those?

I realized where I screwed up this morning... I've been putting a lot of holes in the bottom of 1 gallon milk containers - I like the handle for moving them around... I got fungus gnats due to placing the planted containers on flat surfaces like a metal filing cabinet which ain't letting the water drain well enough...

Dealt with these suckers before - easy fix, just time and extra money... Fly strips for the airborne gnats, glue traps for the ground, and one pint of peroxide mixed with water to make a gallon. The peroxide doesn't hurt the plant - provides more oxygen in soil and kills the damn gnats in about two or three treatments.

Flowering week 6 - - Now only about 9 more weeks to go!

All plants are very healthy so the plants should make it to a 15 week flowering period.

Flowering Week 7

This grow marks a change in how the plants are fed. Buying nutrients in 5 gal. size to cut costs. Introducing power nutrients by Carbo Boost every other feeding instead of two XNutrient supplements of carbo and micro. The Carbo Boost is a lot less cost than the premix - 5 pounds of powder will go a long way in savings. All plants are healthy, growing fast, and taking water every two days now.

Flowering week 8

Added an evaporative water cooler - Funny weather - It was warm enough to need the cooler - Today it was snowing so the cooler had to be turned off to avoid stunting the plants. The water cooler has to stay on when I'm away because the cooler does not start back up once a timer turns it off with the rest of the lights. Putting it on an individual timer can be done, but I'm already running 5 different timers now.

This grow marks a new way for feeding during flowering. In order to cut cost on nutrients a 5 lb. container called Carbo Boost is used every other feeding which replaces two of the three nutrients used from the XNurtient system.

The last 4 grows have been done during a 2.5 year period where there has been a lot of change - good, bad, and challenging times in and around my life...
Also recovering from TBI and PTSD which can be a life long experience but improvemt continues with each grow. The strains are clones from StrainBank with the
exception of the Northern Lights (came from North Cali growers so I can't confirm that strain) and the Cherry Wine strain from Green Point Seeds.

Main plants now flowering:
10 Afghani
4 White Widow
2 Northern Lights
4 Girl Scout Cookies
1 Cherry Wine

Flowering Week 9 With: 4 to 6 weeks to go... Trichomes on all strains cloudy to some milky... NO Amber yet.

Noticing a change in watering from plants wanting water every 2 days to 4 days. Temps are still in the 50's during day. No need for water cooler this week. All plants are healthy, thriving, and buds continue to grow.

Now using about 150 key returns in room to keep buds off

floor.
Cherry Wine (no THC)

Tightened up security by bolting outside door from the inside making it near impossible to enter area without making a lot of noise that would alert me or neighbors.

Adding a Zmodo that monitors humidity, temperature, and has night vision for when lights are off.. A little green light should give enough for clear night vision.

White Widow Getting fat!

I'll glad when all the work is done!
