American soldier; WE are the terrorists

not nearly as many as we did. we killed 500,000 civilians. possibly up to a million.

ISIS would have to kill 1,744 civilians every single day, day after, for 8 straight years in order to match the killing we did over there.

If you disavow the violence and death, why do you say "we" did it? Why are you unable to mentally disassociate from actions that you personally disavow ?

Are you owned by others actions, responsible for what your masters do, slave ?

I'd just say "f*** off Rob" but they keep giving me warnings because you keep running crying to the mods.

Kinda funny that you claim not to answer to any authority but run to it for a safe space from people who disagree with you online.

That's funny. I've never "run to the mods" at all. Ever. Besides, I hardly run anymore, my gait is more like lumbering.

I was agreeing with what I believed was a sympathetic sentiment from you over the heinous bombing of children.

Are you high on meth again?

Meth is one of the few I've never tried, amphetamines? Sure, but not the meth-kind.

Blazing a fatty full of Dinafem Blue Mystic atm.

It's just kicked in, so apologies for the snarky comment but you have to understand it's frustrating to read you post points that have been debunked repeatedly.

Ill admit that someday when humanity grows up your way couod definitely work, but this current iteration of humanity is still too selfish, irrational and small minded.

Well it's good to hear you apologize. No need for rudeness to be afoot eh?

Our soldiers come back from tours of duty saying they saw and did awful things.

They did their job, but often that job was to do terrible things to people who didn't deserve it.

I'm fully aware some of that comes with the territory of soldiering, but to the extent that it's a result of money, we have a moral and ethical obligation to put a stop to it.

... And there's no doubt that much of our need to have boys on the ground is a result of constant lobbying by those who profit from it.

We have the largest military budget in the history of humankind, yet somehow it seems to go for big ticket items instead of boots. Boots aren't a profit center. Neither is training, another area that perennially suffers from a lack of funding.

The question to ask is why?

Clever how they manipulate ever increasing ways of getting their private snouts in the public troughs.

Immoral, deceitful...but clever

Why would a person choose to do "terrible" and "awful" things?

Sometimes there is no good choice, and our military doesn't allow a soldier's opinion to supersede orders. Also, some bad people or troubled people just happen to become soldiers and continue bad behavior. There are many factors and scenarios to consider, but the crux is that war is inherently messy and difficult to plan for. Misdeeds will happen and their form will be the most gruesome.
