I don't suspect that person has experienced what you have in Vietnam, or I in other places. The world is a dangerous place whether we are at the source of if or not. I sent my child to get the very best education I could think of; she's in Africa, with my brother-in-law and sister, living and learning about the world on the up close and personal, getting a perspective of things from the vantage of the Diplomatic Corps.
