First indoor grow setup (ghetto)

Guess you could call this a Closet grow :p Went out today and finished off putting it together.
Basically it's a deep built in wardrobe that I am going to be growing 1 Auto-Flowering plant in (which is currently germinating in my drawers for now) just for some practise before I move onto more plants preferably not auto-flowering.

It's a bit of a ghetto design I know, but I am pretty happy with it and it will work and I'm sure I'll be able to make changes and upgrade as time goes on. For now the walls are lined with Aluminum foil ( I know it's not a popular thing to do but the walls, they are wooden and I don't have access to Mylar) with a Fan/Heater I bought from Kmart for next to nothing. The light is a Mars Hydro 300W LED which I'm sure is sufficient for one AutoFlowering plant :p I will be running the light at 18/6 all the way through as that's personal preference going by the research I did on the debate of 24/0 vs 18/6. I picked up a Temp/Humidity gauge as well as my nutrients from the Hydro store. I was recommended the Green Dream A&B (2x for Veg, 2x for Flower) hopefully this will work well as I'm not expert at using nutrients and I'm hoping to not fuck my plant up. As for Ventilation that is something I am going to have to think hard about before I get into flower but I am growing Northern Lights which is APPARENTLY a low odour plant so I may be fine there otherwise I'll have to get a carbon filter and work my own contraption out.

Please let me know any cons you find with this or ideas you have for me!

You may want to get a cheap pH kit from amazon, like the one GH sells. I find that my fertilizer mixture measures at 4-5 after mixing and that's wayyy too low for plants.

Yeah I have kind of forgotten about the pH topic for indoor growing, I need to figure out how it exactly works as I haven't taken it into consideration at all :/
I am in Australia so I don't use Amazon, I could try my local hydro store though, they were great to me when I went in and said they have everything :p

Its pretty simple. : ) Google should have a thousand results, but I personally love the bright agrotech YouTube videos. They're very educational.

Don't let them talk you into an expensive pH meter. I use the drops--theyre accurate enough to satisfy me, plus the kit usually comes with both pH up and down as well.

You can get a pH pen off ebay for $10-15 including postage within aus so it will only take a week or so. Get an EC/TDS pen too so you know how strong your feeding. Don't just go by the bottles.
Just a small thing but I would not recommend keeping your nutes in the grow room under the light either, put them somewhere dark when you're not using them to prolong the life. Light will get through those white bottles i think and can possibly break down the nutes a bit.

yeah I am gonna order an pH pen asap. As for the nutrients under the light I already moved them out of that room as I realised it was a little stupid to keep them under the hydro light :P

Just an idea, move your electrics off of the floor and mount them on one of the wooden wall posts. That way there is no chance of you spilling anything on them.

Autos love consistency. You can do an auto watering system pretty cheaply. Small water pump, on a digital timer, connected to a dripper manifold (found on Amazon) in a 18 gal, tote with air stones & aquarium air pump. Adjust where needed to suit your environment! You in soil, coco, hydro or what?

I'm in soil mate, how will the auto watering system work with my nutrients?

If you're going to mix & pour don't worry about the auto watering but I'd still bubble my water if you're using tap water
