That's what I was thinking too. Thanks for the input. If you plug the timer into that a shutoff will likely screw up your light schedule as well unless the timer has a battery backup.
meh. cobs put out relatively zero heat compared to equal HID output. my tent ranges from 0-1 degree warmer than room tempSo I decided the best sequence is
POWER - TEMP PROTECT - TIMER - BALLAST
For a few reasons. I want to be able to take advantage of the relay, it allows my ballast to cool before sparking it on again. I have a magnetic ballast so it matters, a digital ballast may not matter. If you have LED's then I'm not sure how hot it gets in your tent for this to be useful but I'm sure high temps can kill plants even in LED setups if there is no ventilation.
No offense but that sounds like bullshitmeh. cobs put out relatively zero heat compared to equal HID output. my tent ranges from 0-1 degree warmer than room temp
I think there are a few different places that offer them, just google "light temperature controller" I got mine from here https://www.hydroponics.net/i/141708Where do you get these at?
rofl. ok, sure buddy. you asked..No offense but that sounds like bullshit
DittoAn stc-1000 off ebay will do the job for a lot cheaper if you want to diy.
