My daytime temps have been around 73, everytime i have to back my light off temps drop and humidity rises, without backing my light off this is what happens when the light is too close from light oversaturation, looks like overwatering right? exactly what i thought too, well its not, that plant hasnt been watered in over a week and is bone dry, soggy looking leaves, hard curling, leaves were actually trying to get away from the light to protect itself, could be whats happening with yours, it looks similar to what mine started to look like at first then it just got worse until i raised the light again
yeah, i searched the web and overwatering kept coming up. I did raise the LED and the CFL's and lowering temp in tent to 73. maybe it was heat stress. I checked her this morning and it is uncurled and she has perked up :-)

To me it looks like under watering. Someone told me that the best way to tell between under watering and over-watering is the stems. When the the stems droop it's under watering when the stems are straight out and the leaves droop then it's over-watering. Did you water them also when you raised your lights?
yes, to be honest i would have a tendancy to overwater not under. I moved up my lights and lowered temp to 73 and she seems to be doing better, thanks :-)

I just added a ceramic Lasko heater outside of the tent ... there just wasn't anything small enough with a thermostat control that would go into a 2x4x5.. It's been keeping temps between 70 and 80 pretty consistently. The corner of the basement where I've set the tent is unfinished and this time of year temps near the floor are 61-63. The heater has a 4 degree shutoff range so I set it to 63 and it runs to 67 and then cycles in that range ... but that's to heat the area, not just the tent. The tent sucks in the air stream from the heater and stays nice and toasty without overheating. Target has all the space heaters on sale for 30% off at the moment

I have just a small generic box heater inside the tent. I hooked it up to an external temp controller. Even though my room temp goes as low as 58 at night, the tent stays between 71 and 74 even with my exhaust fan running 24x7. During the day the lights provide heat and the exhaust fan balances it down. It's kind of a Goldie locks zone right now. Once temps warm up I'll kick up the exhaust fan but probably won't be running the heater.

I also run a room dehumidifier outside the tent. Keeps the tent humidity in check.

I also gave up trying to use heaters with internal thermostats. They have been inaccurate to say the least, because it would heat itself up, or other problems. I bought a $28 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V4TJR00/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to never have to worry about this again. I could've arduino'd but I simply don't have the time to deal with it with the weather being so freaking weird. (my house is leaky and awful and temps in the basement fluxuate SO much)

Bingo. Same controller I'm using.

I keep hearing about arduino, but haven't looked into it yet.

Temps in my tent fluctuate depending on the heat in my apartment, which goes down and up constantly. If its warm in my apartment my tent will get up to about 83 with the mars 300 and cfl's going~ so I open a top flap and turn on my exhaust fan a little to keep it about 75. Then if my apartment gets cold and temps drop in the tent, I just shut the flap and turn off the exhaust fan. I always have had issues keeping humidity up to 35. Very low humidity in my house. I couldnt even imagine not checking my tent at least 2 times a day considering temp and humidity fluctuations I get.

I have a

Sitting in my draw. I have to leave my ventilation system on all the time because of humidity issues. If I wanted to use a controller for my fans I would have to have a heat and humidity combination.

Dont know what i will do in the summer with all the lights inside the tent (i like 20/4 or 24/0 with the autos)....i cant have an air-conditioner (per my lease) because the electric is included in my rent. oh boy.
Can you run a dehumidifier? You can try evaporative cooling. Hang a wet sheet or towel and put a fan on it. It will help a little, but if it's really warm you will be going through a lot of water.

But it will raise the humidity. Usually not worth it.

You need some 'stats, and right stat!
Thermostat and humidistat.
They'll level out the stats in your flat.
And that is how you handle that!
Ask for help, we'll go to bat!

Oh dear, there went my muse-
Must be feeling my Dr Seuss... :bigjoint:

humidity will drop to 20 if I let it. I have a bowl of water in the tent with a coat hanger over it to hold a towel in the bowl...like a wick. I saw the idea on youtube. It works pretty good. Every time I check tent I spray walls a little and it has been keeping the humidity up to 35...sometimes 40. Flower state I wont worry so much, but want to keep it near 40 in veg. I never knew growing "a weed" would take so much work :-)

I do have a thermostat and humidistat you silly goose.
your poetry is smile inducing, but also obtuse.

I have a bucket with a small tower in it, and I put a fan blowing on it to keep the humidity up. I get humidity up to 95% in a sealed ...tent thing.

Love the Seus- I have chickens that lay green eggs(always thinking green eggs and ham) Smoking a bit after snowblowing 3 hrs.(very large horseshoe drive and 4 parking spots) Just thought I'd post a pic of Properly flushed weed( guideline is: smooth hit(no choking, gagging,Etc.) , white ash- not black or charcoal), keeps burning( no constant re-light( applies to bowel or J , Nice resin ring(joint only)
