Nobody claimed to be enamored with the Emery's...we just take exception to our government and police forces working for corporations rather than the people. You're the one who felt the need to interject your dislike of them, focusing on them breaking the law and actually profiting from their business investments. I don't care for them personally, but I will stand up to the injustice and corruption. I don't have a lot of respect for anyone that blindly accepts government interference.

So when are you going to open an unlicensed drugstore? It's so unjust that people have to get licenses, permits etc. That's so burdensome. Just rent some space downtown and start selling Oxycontin.

You really need to work on your comprehension skills. Did you miss the part where I mentioned dispensaries in Vancouver and a few other cities are licensed and regulated? A normal business license in Vancouver is a couple of hundred bucks...the dispensaries paid $30,000 each. Pretty burdensome, eh? I could open a pharmacy, liquor store, or tobacco shop tomorrow if I were to follow regulations and buy a license. The same opportunity does not exist for cannabis sales due to unfair government protection of LP's while denying other's the ability to participate. The government is not going to change the laws to benefit the people unless we force their hand...that's the way it has always been. You really need to pull your head out of Uncle Bill's ass...the lack of oxygen is affecting your critical thinking skills.

They don't have one. Like I said earlier, these are black market dealers losing business.
Medicine and food require regulation in order to keep people safe. It isn't like your black market dealers have any rules to follow so who knows what bad things they are using.
Pharmacies have huge hurdles to get through before they can sell prescriptions and for good reason. You can trace back any prescription to the source of manufacture with the systems in place. That protects the public.
Anyhow, the main problem crowd in this sub thread is anti-anything, whether it be anti-LP, anti-Seed vendor, anti-corporate, etc. For those of us who are pro-everything so long as its safe and gets the proper acceptance within society, these people are the problem.
Think about it. All opponents to legalization need to do is take a few postings done by this crowd and use it as justification to delay. Your average every day mom and pop who turn out to vote aren't going to be very keen to support anything with that type of crowd being able to produce product that puts health at risk.
Don't like LPs then fine, don't use them. They still are an ally for legalization. You can legally grow your own and have been able to for years now. The government has a program to allow people to grow their own under the care of a licensed doctor called the ACMPR. Prior to that they had the MMAR program which allowed those of us with a medical need to legally grow our own. Neither program was a problem so long as you are a law abiding tax paying citizen and therefore you can't blame the government for getting in the way of your medical needs.

I don't know, I think I covered pretty much everything. People decided flouting drug laws was a good idea and found out it apparently wasn't. Nobody made them do it so I can only assume that they were daring authorities to stop em. They weren't responding to any particular need by society, because weed is ubiquitous in Canada already. If people can't find it, they aren't looking very hard.
