"If you do not believe in climate change, you should not be allowed to hold public office"

Please explain the nature of the "climate bucks" NASA shills for. Be specific.
A huge division of NASA now, is the Earth Science Enterprise. So NASA reduced exploring and focusing on space in the past decade, and now this new branch focuses on "climate change." In fact so much, its the #1 funded science division at NASA now, more than anything else.

So basically NASA's role for the past several years, is to get a huge budget to come up with some closed box data models that show how much the earth is warming and how climate change is real. Trump may slash their budget dramatically now that he is president, and may move the focus back to space science and exploration.

That's right we cant measure the whole globe
So we extrapolate it out and have a guess
And never admit we got it wrong or lied about fudging the figures to fit the right climate model.

So seeing as how I'm so stupid, can some one smart(don't all rush in) answer how does NASA go about accurately measuring the whole planet
It's not worth the effort to re-write what somebody has already said and said well.

I checked to make sure there aren't a lot of really big words:

So, you're implying NASA is not really producing anything of value and is simply grifting for funding and that they themselves shifted their focus from space exploration to Earth science? Laughably simplistic. You distrust the science behind climate change -- I get it -- but vilifying NASA is simply stupid. Here's some history behind how NASA got more involved in Earth science. Enjoy.

so we should just close our eyes and plug our ears and hold our breath and pretend it isn't happening?

that's fucking dumb.

right now, fruit farmers across my state are about to get crippled. their trees are blooming already, in the middle of fucking winter, before the spring snows come. good luck to nascent buds surviving that. thy won't have a crop this year.

and farmers growing winter wheat are in the same dilemma. unseasonably warm temperatures plus next to no precipitation means their crops are not even sprouting on dryland and sucking up record amounts of water on irrigated land.

and that is just a fraction of the effects of global warming in one single region of one single state.

but yeah, maybe we should stop funding research and ignore the fucking problem completely because it makes your ass sore after you've spent years claiming it was all a hoax.

retard.

Science is the exact opposite of faith. Suck it.
exactly. science has predictive value. faith does not.

which is probably why spaghetti noodle declined to wager me on whether or not 2017 would be the warmest year on record.

good thing for him, too, since the record warm months we have already experienced are putting us well on the way to the warmest year ever. we'd need an awfully frigid spring and summer not to have the hottest year on record, yet again, for the 4th year in a row.

When following the money around the climate change "argument", only the very, very stupid point fingers at organizations like NASA and not at the fossil fuel industry. It doesn't get much dumber than that.

You really need to see a specialist.

exactly. the salary for a researcher at NASA is peanuts compared to what you can make by pedaling pseudoscience as an oil company shill.

NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration . In order to get funding, apparently they had to transform into a climate alarmist agency.
