Aero/NFT Drooping

Hello guys! I appreciate any advice, new grower here with lots to learn.

I seem to be having a problem with wilting plants in the aero/nft rails!

Light - 630 sun systems lec, ph 5.8, ppm around 800 (botanicare), temps 70-76, RH 40-60. Lights at around 16-20" with no signs of damage. Timer ATM is 1min on/ 1min off, res = 63-66f.

I have tried the timer 1.2/8, 1/4, 1/5 and have even raised the Rez end to try and slow the waterfall down. But, I can't seem to get the plants to stop drooping. I have 2 ezclone sprayers per plant spaced at around 3" from the middle of 3" net pots in a 5x5 rail and the hole spray looks great.

The plants do great in the cloner and pop back up quickly praying to the T5, I just cant get them to thrive in the rails and the roots look great.

This is my first grow and I'm having a ton of fun with this new hobby. I just need some help figuring out what I am doing wrong. Should I be trimming fan leaves? Kinda getting bushy at 5 weeks into veg!

Lower the humidity a bit more perhaps and raise the pH to around 6.0 to 6.3 am going to lean towards your pH just a bit off for vegging. But they don't really look that bad to be honest, just bump up the pH.

Check the temperature inside the rails, it could easily be 80-90F from the radiant heat of the light ;) Cant see what you have the plants in from the pics. If its netpots with hydroton, no problem. If rockwool cubes are involved check that they`re not soaking wet.

Thanks for the reply. I have bumped up the ph to 6.1. Appreciate the tip and the positive comment.

My veg research has me at RH 40-70, have you found a sweet spot? My next purchase is a defumidifier, thanks again for the help.

Thanks for the comment! Plants are in neoprene collars. I will insulate the rails, I didn't think it could get that hot in there. Thanks!

ahh, no worries about soaked roots then. The collars will do a decent job of sealing the rails, making it harder for heat to escape. I`d stick a min/max temp probe in a collar directly under the light and see what the rail temp swing is over 24hrs.

Will give this a shot! I also think my nutes are a bit low at 700, light green. Raised to 1000 ppm and hoping for the best.

You nailed it man! Thank you so much. Hot root zone! Check them out after insulating.
