Here we go, we have light!!! Kinda jealous i spent the time to do his nice and neat and kinda slapped mine together fast and messy...even drilled and mounted the potentiometer on his....

Ive seen that done and i like it, the freedom to move each cob wherever you want is definitely a good thing! just gotta watch out for those hanging wires everywhere
That and 150 vdc will make quite an impression you if you pop the wrong wire out a wego connector. :finger:

im in week 5 awsell, , not topped, next time im planning on topping for sure though, spent the day building my buddy a 4 cob light, meanwell 300watt cxb3590 3500k running at 2.1a with a potentiometer, thing is gonna rock his shit lol hes super excited i already got seedlings goin for him, forgot to take a picture of the damn thing....was getting rushed by the wife, anyways im trying to get him to send me some pictures, couple pics of the driver after i soldered and shrinkwrapped it....lol
Just went into week 6 of veg. They will have to wait till next week for the flip since I'm traveling. It will be fine though, I've been fim'ing them and have lots of low tops. White widows grow slowly and need the extra veg time so no worries.

Also started six seedlings for the next grow. All 6 have germ ed and popped up out of the soil. Some in less than 24 hours.

I'm batting 1000 for starting seeds. Hopefully the babysitter doesn't screw up my record. ;)

tired off picking off dead leaves every morning. Very sorry I didn't start grow nutes at the start of the flowing stretch. Sorry I didn't hit them harder when I did start. Sorry I didn't put a full 5 gallons in each pot.

One has lost 90℅ of it's fan leaves. Almost 7 week old northern lights autos should not be this bad. Ton of buds but all tiny. Looks like mostly hairs. Definitely going with Coco next time. Nutes from the start.

My current
In Flush( 1-2 weeks) with other. Got my CVault in today & me and Mom gonna have a trim party when WW is ready. Then I can make her daughter & brother some serious green butter.
I cant wait to learn how to trim, dry and cure. Actually I just cant wait to see a plant with buds, I've never seen one. Also looking forward to spreading some kryptonite butter on toast for my family, thank you SO much. I found some info on how to make a ganja "tincture" and might try that for my brother who has familial/essential tremor disorder and asthma (cant smoke or vape). A little cheesecloth, few nips of Bacardi 151, a few grams of weed.(wow, I just had a flashback of a party I went to in 1985! ha ha)

Yeah this board is the best~ politics, sharing seeds or clones, different grow methods, great folks, the benefits and drawbacks of peeing on plants, etc. :-)

Good to see you back MrSeeDoubleU!

Creature1969, I feel your pain! 3/4 of my buds are orange hair, some milky trics, but most clear- my patience is being tested- then the trauma of cutting, drying, curing and getting it all Right! Love your Hunter Thompson Quote- one of my favorite authors- wrote great book on Hells Angels, amongst others-- Would like to see his read on current Administration LOL

Interesting note for all you DIY COBbers out there ... a 4000K Cree cxb 3590 CRI 80 running at 1400ma on a 140mm pin heat sink had a 77 degree F temperature reading on the top of the heat sink. Hmmmmm
Yeah, those pin heatsinks are boss. I saw a comparison between that and the extruded aluminium and the difference is staggering.

Hi Woosta here. You might not know about trimming in the beginning, butt as you sit there you'll become a real good trimmer.I was thinking about you earlier.I and probably others have auto seeds we will never use, given to us as freebees.I wish there was a way to bestow them to you instead of just letting them go to waste.:eyesmoke:

COB lighting is a type of LED. (Circuit On Board) Currently the most common do it yourself LED lighting for us growers that are good with a small amount of electronics/framing work. Bosgrower and I just built our own lights for a fraction of what you would see online. We (I'm volunteering BosG) would be more than happy to help out someone else who was interested in it, though likely in a smaller chat so as not to blow up this thread. PM me if you ever wanted to discuss it. (It's scary at first, but one you know the basics it's as easy as putting together Ikea furniture)

same here, anyone ever use these Boveda 62% 2 way humidity packs? Can add or subtract moisture during curing to keep it at the right humidity, seem legit, would take alot of stress out of your curing process, think im gonna try em out when its time, they are cheap enough

They are good, butt along with your tools you should add a hydrometer, is what I think they call them,to put inside the jar to help you read.In the curing section is where you can read about our failures with curing and mold and guessing.Come to find out it hurts as much at the end as when you foop up in the beginning.Enjoy. It gets better...:hump::weed:

Yea you definately need a hygrometer, but the packs help keep it at that level so you dont fall below, cause once below a certain humidity curing is done right? you wont be able to cure anymore and if not fully cured yourfucked and bud will taste and smell like hay ive heard, just use em as a extra safeguard, might even try em for my bud right now so it doesnt dry out so much lol, keep it perfect and "always" curing, im kinda sold on em, shoulda mentioned the hygrometer first cause that is a must have tool

Started by Spetznaaz- July 4,2011 Page 6, will help you thru a cure without all the guessing. Have fun...Been there, never going back...:bigjoint:
