Thanks my man, I hope so too, I'm sure it will!
Yeah it's hard to count your chickens with weed plants hey, done that before and they went to shit! Good luck mate, I really hope they pull through and give you some dank!!

I'm eith Ozcoco too man, I would say there is a buildup of salts in the medium as they've drunk all the water up due to the heat. How often are you feeding nutes? I'd maybe hold off for 2-3 feeds and see if it corrects.
Those plants are looking pretty good especially considering the temps they've been through !
Could be a ph issue

Yep, spot on man! I'd only used it with perlite up until I started using organic soil again. I let my soil break right down before using it though and it's worked awesome!
Im just working out what I'm going to do with all the soil I used this year ,was thinking about leaving it in the bags with some type of cover crop or making a big pile and doing a green manure crop and composting that in

Yeah that would work man! If you can get a soil sample and work out what's lacking, the soil would be useable again in no time!

im thinking it could be salts too or overwatered

i use some dynamic lifter & some blood & bone as well as trace elements mixed in with the compost/coco/perlite mix, i liquid fert bloom formula bat guano & canna coco once every 5 days, use canna pk13-14 for the recommended period, im careful not to overdose
That sounds like it shouldn't build up salt too quick, it's frustrating trying to work out toxicity/deficiency problems hey ! Have you got any way of doing a soil ph test ?

Wow man, that's a lot hey. The bat guano and, bloom formula and canna coco would provide more than enough phosphorus and potassium, the pk 13-14 wouldn't be needed hey. Because you're mixing organic and synthetic, you are playing a game with the nutrient uptake of the plants. I can guarantee it's a salt buildup and not overwatering hey, I would go as far to say they need more water. I'd give them fresh water for 10 days and if you see yellowing starting on the bottom leaves, then start fertilising again. Trust me man, plants dont actually need that much fertilising!

ive done it for many years like that eastcoast, in 'normal soil'. never any fert toxicity, the only difference this year is combining coco & perlite

@eastcoastmo sounds pretty right there,I'm a pretty heavy feeder but I only use organic ferts in soil mainly because of the salt build up. I've been using a lot of fulvic and humic this year and am impressed with the added health they seem to give the plant

That's your difference bro, it's the added coco and perlite. Perlite is innert where coco alters the cation exchange capacity so can alter the nutrient chemistry. Mixing organics and synthetics with coco, perlite and soil can cause many issues. It looks and sounds to me like the organics are just starting to break down but they are fighting with the synthetics and causing the salt build up when the soil dries out on a hot day. I learnt this the hard way a while ago during the heat using coco and perlite, once they get dry, the salts build up and drop the pH which in turn alters the cation exchange capacity, causing calcium to lock out. Sorry bro, not trying to lecture, just trying to save you going through the same shit i went through. Temperature and moisture are the two main things that alter chemical compounds, you had major changes in both over short periods of time so my well educated guess is that's what's going on. Lots of freshwater will fix it :)
