Two 4x4 Grow Tents or one 4x8 Grow Tent

I had my last grow in a dedicated light proof room. I used a 3x3x6 (6' tall) tent for veg with an LED grow light. I moved the plants to flower in the open room with two 600 watt hps lights. Temps were good in the room, and when it got hot I had a room AC to utilize.

I'd like to have the flower area in a grow tent, as there would be better utilization of light, and the mess would be contained therein. I only have room for 4x4 grow tents, one to start, up to a maximum of two. OR I could go right to a 4x8 tent. I would be getting one that is a max of 78" tall. Since I have two hps lights I could have one per tent, or two in the 4x8. I'm able to pull air from an adjacent room to cool the lights and then blow outside. The room has a separate exhaust fan.

I also find that the 3x3 tent gets quite cramped with plants and also just trying to do stuff in there.

What would be the benefits of going with two 4x4 tents or one 4x8 tent?
Thanks for any input!

I'd say 2 use all 3 tents. 1 veg 2 for different flower schedules.. getter going perpetual real quick
I agree with this. I'm getting a perpetual going that is basically this same thing.

I like the ideas of setting it up to pull a 4x4 tent every month if all your strains are 8 weeks. Or you can use them to seperate strains on different schedules.

Thanks. This time around I'll be doing bucket hydro, just using air stones. Each bucket is to have its own ecosystem. No chiler yet, as this is my first time with hydro. Hopefully it'll work out without too many funky problems.

Why do each bucket separate?

I was just reading an article that suggested to connect all buckets to one bucket you don't grow a plant in...you use that one to easily change out the water and what not I guess... idk... I guess as the plants grow it becomes difficult to access each individual bucket

Not trying to poke holes in your plan bud I've never done hydro and I'm just asking questions.

Just use the one. You will get more yield having all the lights in one room because of overlap. Just ask the bigger growers about yield loss because of that center alley "walkway" down the middle. Alot of them will tell you that if they had to do it again they would have all the lamps/canopy together and use plant tables (flood and drain or runoff type tables -typical with production rooms) with roller wheel casters to get access to the inner part pf the garden canopy. Plus with seerate flower rooms (i actually have 2 big flower rooms (timed perpetual harvest style where something is always coming and going in both)and one 6x6 veg tent and a 3x3 tester tent for all new gear quarantine. Anyways...you have to have 2 al least of everything. Heaters...fans...blowers..dehumidifiers...air conditioners (at least the handlers in the case of mini splits). Pack all the lamps in one room i say. And preferably over one big canopy where yields increase beacuse of multiple point sources of light and light overlap. Put plants on drain tables with wodden frames on caster wheels to move around (wide perimeter around the garden for table moving) and access to the inner plant canopy for maintenance.

Growmau5 mentioned that walk way loss you mention in a video. He didn't want to get rid of the walk way so he said something about hanging a curtain of reflective material i believe... slide it out of the way when you want access
