A little background started my seeds January 1st in Jiffy pots. Currently my plants are in 5 gallon fabric pots with FFOF 30% perlite added under 600w MH. I Was wondering when I should start giving them nutes and that kinda trimming/training I should be doing. As I have said before this is my very first grow and am learning the whole process and trying to take in all the information I can. Also that is the correct method for watering? Currently I am just watering until I can see water starting to seep into the trays, should I be letting some run out? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Also the only trimming I have done was to cut off a couple of the leaves at the bottom of the plant that appeared to have nute burn which I did today. thanks.

They look awesome and you definitely are off to a great start. You can probably start them in the grow nutes... but it does sound like your soil is quality sip stock to the low side suggested dosage until they get a Lil taller and feed increases. I can't recommend cal mag plus enough to first time growers.. it does great job keeping those leaves looking beautiful from grow into boom! I like adding my nute feed in at about 6.3 ph with my ocean forest mix I make. great work on first time!

What is cal mag and how do you use it?

It will make sure you don't mess up the calcium magnesium ratio with your nutes and help keep as many healthy looking leaves as they naturally fall off the last week's of blooming before harvest.. if you grow tomatoes use it on those as well!
