Okay I don't know what's going on here my sprout seems to be malformed with a strange cap on the first set of leaves. I'm afraid to try to remove it as I might snap its head off and one of the first set of leaves is yellowish while the other is a healthy green. I can new growth in between the first set of leaves but with that strange cap on it holding them together I think the sprout growth is impeeded?

All that said should I intervene or let nature run its course?

What's up with the huge pots? Solo cups would be a better choice.
This plant was sprouted 1/1 and transplanted to solo on 1/13:

She's ready for a bigger pot. Might go straight to a 5 gal.

oops, missed that.
I've never grown autos, but it would seem that soilless medium would be the way to go. It takes a bit longer for plants to develop in organic soil.

What kind of light is that best guess with lack of info would be the light is to close/powerful for the little guy and you burned the round leaves. Round leaves are your seedling gas tank and have everything it needs until they turn yellow but you should have at least two nodes by then. Picture is to blurry to tell what you mean by cap is the seed husk stuck on it? If so can gently nudge it with your finger and try and remove. Don't be to forceful though or you may damage the seedling

That's like a little embryonic sac around the cotyledons. You can just spritz it with a little water so it's easier for them to open or like I had to do with a bunch of them recently use the tip of a little pocket knife to slip between them and tear it open. Need steady hands and just put the tip of one finger on one side and poke the point between the leaves gently from the other side.

I will spray her cap now, she has 2.5 hours of light on her 18 hour cycle.

Took about 15 min to get her moist but now the results speak for themselves. I have a viable female now, I swear can almost smell her turpens now.

Don't need a macro lens. Just crop the picture so the seedling takes up the whole frame.
