IMG_1828.JPG Hey guys. 3rd post on good ol roll it up. So much help on this site. Anyways, I have a girl that's almost to the 4 weeks stage of flower. She's losing lots of color in the bottom leaves. I did realize I trimmed way to many fan leaves early on so I thought it could be just normal yellowing of the most bottom leaves but then again this it my first grow so I'm unsure. I did flush recently because I hadnt flushed before flipping the lights over and I may have had some salt build up. added 1/4 strength nutes and it seems to be not yellowing as fast anymore. Don't wanna lose this girl halfway thru! Any help would be great!

Using 6.5 ph balanced water as i found out the water her in Colorado isn't as nice as hoped. Fox farms soil and fox farms trio for nutes following the instructions on the lighter side. No cal mag supplement at the moment. Temps and RH is perfect as well as air movement. IMG_1829.JPGIMG_1827.JPG

Im not a big soil grower 12 years of hydro, but looking at the leaves Im leaning toward a cal mag deficiency also you might me over watering. are you letting the soil dry out pretty good? Also how big of container is that plant in? I used to keep my mother plants in soil and smaller pots and when the plant got out of control root bound to the point that when i watered it would take forever to soak into the soil i had the same thing going on. with my mothers i root pruned and trimmed then repotted and all was good. you cant do that since your plant is for harvest so you might need to repot in bigger pot. hopefully this points you in the right direction.

It's in a 2 gallon but the plant is only 18-20 inches tall. Not a very large plant. I'm sure it's rootbound beyond hell but I think it's much too late for a transplant wouldn't ya think?

Looks like you need cal-mag.

I run ff nutes and promix. I used to use ffof but had the same issues with burning/yellowing. The soil always seemed to be hot. After moving to promix all yellow went away and no more burn.

Yeah I had heard ffof was typically hot. I suppose I'll back off the nutes a bit and ride it out and then switch. I can tell yield isn't going to be great. Live and learn I guess.

look at the nutes your using

look at each bottle.... which one has calcium in it? is the answer; none!

next time
fox farm nute mix

veg nutes per gallon
4 mls grow
6mls bloom
8 mls calmag
1/8 tsp Epsom salt (0.5 grams)

bloom nutes per gallon
2mls grow
8mls bloom
8 mls calmag
1/8 tsp Epsom salt (0.5 grams)

run the veg nutes until week 2 or 3 of 12/12 then switch to the bloom

these are low/safe amounts of fertilizer if you find you need a stronger ppm
for a higher ppm mix it the same way with slightly less water
for a lower ppm mix it the same way with slightly more water

but don't mix it stronger unless your plants are show def.....

for that girl

maybe spray her 1x(only 1 time) with 8mls of cal mag

mix your fertilizers (as recommended) for veg 1x and water

then switch to the bloom nutes (as recommended)
