So I hope I didnt screw my grow up with a rookie mistake. Initially, I over watered it. Pretty self explanatory. Got the new fox farm big bloom nutrients in a few days ago and gave them a dose of it probably too early and probably way too much.

Woke up this morning and all my big fan leaves were dried up, cripsy and flaking away. They are turning yellow between the veins of the leaf. I think its a nutrient burn problem, or some kind of toxicity problem. All the new growth is fine, some of the tips are curled down, but most of them arent crispy and flaking away.

For the overwatering problem, I poked some holes in the soil and it dried up pretty quick.

Question is: what is the problem(s)? Is it salvageable? What do I do to fix it, if anything?

Okay, wouldnt surprise me if the PH is all screwed up. Everything was going perfect until I over dosed it on bloom and veg nutes Friday. Which would have changed the PH Did that, then leaves were drooping and clawing Saturday. Now today it looks like its about to keel over.

Yes you used too much. You could try flushing. The damage is done. Expect for the leaves to continue changing colors like yellow and maroon. Some more will probably fall off.

Less is more. Keep it super simple. Every time I get away from that I screw up.

Will it live or should I just start fresh....as much as i dont want to do that.

EDIT: ran about a quart of water through it today and it took out alot of what looked like murky, nutrient filled water.

3-4 times pot size. If its a 1 gallon run 3-4 gallons of water through it. The last gallon mix 1/4 strength grow.

When using synthetics always start out at a1/4 to 1/2 strength and work up. Water until 20% run off to prevent salt buildup.

first let me say
these are oddly balanced ratios of nutrients and im not sure id would ever consider using this brand

let me give you a couple reasons
I don't trust the product info... several of the bottles list derived from; magnesium sulfate and then list no % amount for magnesium wtf
how can it say it has magnesium sulfate and not have magnesium
seeing this makes it impossible to trust the listed ingredient

second; not one of those bottles has any calcium...zero! and I don't think theres any in them because calcium nitrate isn't listed in any of the bottles and your not likely to get calcium without calcium nitrate

I would never recommend these nutes to a hydro users
luckily your in soil

having said all that

if the numbers on the bottle are correct (and I cant say they are)

I would mix

veg (full strength)
per gallon
3mls grow
6mls bloom
10 mls calmag (only way to get your calcium)

bloom (full strength)
per gallon
3mls grow
8mls bloom
10mls calmag
1/8 tsp Epsom salt (0.5 grams)


for a higher ppm mix it the same way but with slightly less water
for a lower ppm mix it the same way with slightly more water


you don't need the tiger bloom or any of the other additives I wouldn't use them

in the long run if I was you id change your brand of nutes
