So I added Nutes this evening. I'm going to top my plants as well. Talk to my homie at store he said its a lot more nerve wracking than one might think. I'm just going to cut the bitches and see what happens. Lol.

Looking good. I don't think anyone is ever totally happy with their grow space. It gives us something to do.

Right now I have it set up for one light and such. It's in a 4x4x 6-1/2' area. But the actual room now that I moved my freezer out of that area is a 5x10x8 total room. I can if I get creative make it half veg and half flower room and get two rooms in one area. I just have to cut off all light source from one to the next. Also if I did that I'd have to make it opposite flower in the back area where the veg is now. Make that flower and the front room area veg. I think I will do that. I've been contemplating the wife said I'm not allowed any more room in basement. But I'd like to do a 5x5x8 tent seperate for flower. Who the fuck knows. We'll see. But if that's the case then when I buy a big 150 scrubber that will take care of the whole room in its entirety. I'll just run a small 2x4 for cloning and seedlings.
So I topped my plants just cut the fuckers at the top and left the two nodes or whatever they are called lol. How long does it take to see them grow up and realize that I didn't fuck it all up? Dude at shop said you can cut the whole top off it don't matter it will just grow like the weeds they are meant to be.

OK....so I did it. (yeah, I don't believe in wasting time!) I took the carbon filter out of my tent, and put insulated ducting on it. Then I put the fan in a box lined with egg crate bed foam. Attached filter to fan, and then put a piece of ducting on the air exit side of the fan and wrapped that in egg crate foam. Not pretty, but nothing a few plants cant hide!
OMG....I swear the sound is down 50%. Now high sounds like low did!....Still hear whoosh of air, but not so bad Also put a "laundry ducting" air freshener on the end. Smells like laundry day in here. If I had any cash to spare I would buy a muffler for the end of the setup, but I dont. this will have to do for now.

Till u see the the 2 new tops but could be sooner it all depends on strain.. I've also topped before and the plant didn't respond well to it stunted took a long time to recover...

I figure I can have 4 plants in flower at most in the area that I'm thinking. I'll scrog it so I can really train the fuck out of them and maximize my potential grow space. When I do decide to do the scrog set up. I will be using most likely after some more research and shit. The wire fence style set up. So I can weave the plant to grow up and out like a half pipe rather than the netting with one whole top layer. I've seen this a few different ways. But I've seen massive grows from 1-2 plants set up this way.
Got these off Internet. But this is what my ultimate idea will be in theory. See what happens when it does though. Lol. Much easier said than done.

Yup. Called perpetual harvest and it's basically the principle of staggering stages. You can split it up a million ways.

You have 1 in Barre(homie) and as noobs, we are all impatient, but I can definately impart to you lessons learned.As #1 I went with 2 short a tent(5') thinking Autos won't grow too tall-WRONG! now a week into flower, I have to move them to my big tent(cut scrog net, move everything out of way,drain Res, move to new tent, new lights, recalibrate environment(hotter lights,bigger space,etc. without shocking the crap of these ladies.But good stress ,as long as all goes well.Went thru same issue with fan(no issue with noise,but trying to tune in to keep heat right along with RH, only to find controller doesn't work well with brushless fan motor #2 was follow these wise growers on nutes(I run DWC and luckily learned to dial down basic measures, so never have had burn or or shortages (dumb luck), no root rot,etc. But I check them twice a day am./Pm (like a new dad) and spend Zen time- very rewarding quality time Smoke bowl,drink beer,take pot porn pictures, update logbook(best idea, as easy to lose track of schedule feedings ,progress, mistakes,etc,). Didn't by into all the suppliments(KISS principal) Have some excess gear I never needed LOL.Spent $100 for 4 bubble buckets when I could have had same setup for 1/2 , only to realize I was going to hack them up to make RDWC( because checking water, nutes, PPM, Ph on 6-8 buckets daily would be PIA.Not sure if site has PM other than conversations, but e-mail works, if you want to compare notes or grows. or trade phone# and I'm happily living with a good lady, so no strangeness from my end-Just like to compare notes and respect what your doing for your daughter.Go for it hon!!!......I wish I had a HOMIE that lived near me. omg I am so clueless just making mistake after mistake and having to backtrack

I'm going to when ready to flower swap spots. I'll put the flower area where veg is now. Hook up other light and build double rolling doors from right to left. Thinking of hanging a moving blanket over doors. So no light will penetrate into other area. If I do it properly and pay attention to how I set up times where lights are on at same time slots I'll be able to do my work in the area without disrupting when flower lights are off. With no light penetration from veg room. I have to do all of this in a 10x5 grow area. I've seen less done in smaller areas. It's all in how you go about it. I'll still get a perpetual grow out of the area I have. I will have to build a small box for clones and seedlings. When I do all this bet your asses I'll take pics and share my next moves. I'm very carpentry privi so shouldn't be that hard at all. Just need to book on a good round of flower so I can get some cash flow and start building a shit ton of DIY cree set ups.

Tomorrow will be moving day. Installed Hps- need to put on adjustable chains to give more height(lose 6" with ratchet straps,but so nice) Should get great coverage, just stressing about moving setup(mental note-Stay sober until done,monitor heat change,set fan, move wiring panel,lug water,add nutes,hydroguard,test ph & ppm,smoke bowl,recheck next Am. and wait another month for magic.Labor of Love.And fire up chainsaw to cut trunk( how can the trunk be 2" dia. in 6 weeks?}

I have a 5 foot tent too, I might throw her into flower early and LST~maybe scrog. I dont want to be saying "oh shit" in a few months because she is busting out of the tent. Even though this plant (easy kush) grows "short, stocky, and easy going, easy for raw noob", (so they say) I dont want to get caught off guard. I can afford to move her anywhere after all the money I already spent.

Hear ya. Your 5 foot tent is a lot shorter once you add a light, fan, filter, etc to the top of it. So 5' becomes 4', your plants grow to 3', and that is too close for a lot of lights. I went for a 6' tent to start, but I've got essentially the same issues. A scrog will help to use every inch of your tent, but you can still get burned by a stretch in flower.
Not the worst problem to have though. If you get that far with healthy plants, and your only problem is they grew too big, you are doing well......
