Hello everyone, I am relatively new to the site and have a question that I think you guys can help me out with. I am living back at home this year to go to my community college and wanted to know if you thought it would at all be possible to still grow in my room unsuspiciously.

If anyone thinks that this would be possible please tell me your ideas. Thanks so much and I hope to hear from you all soon.

It isn't smart to grow in your folks house, respect your folks and their house. Wait until next season and do an outdoor grow.

I don't think its possible. Parents are nosy and invade their children's privacy on a regular basis. You might say "oh not MY parents, they stay out of my room and respect MY privacy". Stop fooling yourself. They ALL do it. They WILL find out.

the BIG issue with growing at home is that leo can take your parents house away. don't grow there unless you plan on paying them back.

well is there a way to create an outdoor grow house during the fall/winter season that would still be able to utilize the suns rays?

that would be called a greenhouse, to be a wiseass, so yes you can rig your own. try seaching "greenhouse" as a tag on this site's search engine.

many greenhouses operate year round. the heat from the sun heats up the inside of the room. but depending on the outside temps and the amount of sunlight sometimes they need heaters. you can call and ask a local garden shop whether you can use an unheated greenhouse in your area - they won't suspect why you are calling.

I will be putting this greenhouse in a plain field behind my house and so i will not be able to have outlets near it to operate heaters and such, are there alternatives to getting power out there? Maybe solar power?

i'm sure there are solar power systems just for greenhouses but you don't want to go there because its too expensive.

i meant for you to call the local garden shop and they will tell you whether or not you need to have power to the greenhouse. say you're growing tomatoes.

yeah but i want to figure out a good way to grow them outside in the fall/winter season. i think i figured out a good way from some advice on here. the plans are to take (2) 8 foot long pieces of wood x (2) 5 foot long pieces of wood for the bottom frame and then use any size piece of wood length upward from the bottom frame to the roof which will be the same measurements as the bottom frame. you can make one side taller than the other too so that the rain and snow falls down the side. thats the plan....any ideas to alloborate on that plan would be much appreciated.
