Depends how many clones you want to take and how often, the 150w will work fine for keeping a mother growing well or two mothers growing slower.

How many clones do you plan to take at a time and how often between taking one set of clones and taking another.

i keep four mothers four feet away from a 400w mh. works great.

otherwise, one 23w cfl per mother.

moms don't need much light; as a matter of fact, you want lesser light to encourage stretch for good slips. i keep mine in a 6'' pot for a year to a year and a half, and just put them in a back corner of the grow room somewhere. every other week, i prune them back to 12x12x12 inches, regardless of whether or not i need the slips.
