Local Animal Shelters

Hey guys, as anyone who knows me on here you know my stance on animals.. Especially my furry cat friends. One of my "friends" friend had a cat who got pregnant for the third time and didn't want her anymore (piece of shit.) I took her in, and we birthed kittens for the first time.. Which was a great experience, considering my girlfriend wants to be a Vet.

We spent all our time in the FIV Room (Feline immunodeficiency virus.) Cats with FIV must be quarantined in their own room, due to risks of spreading the disease. The cats with FIV are NOT necessarily sick looking, some of them had dry noses, minor breathing issues.. All in all, it's a truly amazing thing bringing joy into their lives. I wasn't a cat person when I was younger, but I'm very glad for who I am now. Animals are wonderful.

We're going to the shelter again in a few days, and I will post some pictures. Please consider stopping by your local shelter and give them some love, or even just donate.

Thank you for your time.

All of our boys are rescues. I'd have it no other way. This fella is paralyzed from the lower chest down, though you wouldn't know it with his zest for life....
(He 'sling walks' via cotton scarves around his pelvis, and he's got a wheeled walker, as well.)

My 2 shelter rescues/best friends.

The bottom girl is a black lab/Rottweiler. I've had her for 13 years. There have been times in my life I couldn't find housing that would take her. 2 different times I had to move back to my parents house while I found a new pet friendly place.

I've moved all over California with her and there have been many times I could have easily given her to someone to make my life easier.

NO FUCKIN WAY. :)

She now has horrible hip dysplacia and arthritis. She has found major relief in CBD dog treats! Haha. They are expensive as fuck though so I'm vegging some high CBD clones "remedy x ac/dc " and I will make my own treats for her.

Great thread @Kind Sir

Shelter animals rock.

View attachment 3885688 Shelter are awesome but they are expensive around here 175.00 for a dog! Here is my Rescue dog.
Yeah, I paid a hair less for mine. But the money reimbursed them for their medical care at the shelter. We also donate to the shelter.

My dog was found tied to a parking meter so he was picked up by local police and taken to the shelter.
I sincerely appreciate that the previous owner did that instead of killing him.

This is Marley, a rescue dog as well from Fresno, Ca. She now lives on our 10 acre piece of land in the Sierra foothills, and sleeps on the bed every night (spoiled) .
Pic#1 is her cooling off on a warm summers day.
Pic#2 is a before & after picture after her 1st Rattlesnake bite.
Pic #3 & #4 is after her 2nd Rattlesnake bite (tough dog and still alive).
Pic#5 is Marley & Spy-Dee. Spy-Dee was put down on Jan 3rd at the age of 15. She was a rescue dog as well from Fresno. She lived a GREAT life, never knew what a fence was.
