Hard to say how much heat. Do you have a reference point?Hey guys i was maybe gonna get 5 of these.
4 all in 3000k
- 200 Watt Cree CXB3590 Square Framework
1 in 4000k
I have a 5 foot wide x 5 foot wide x 8 foot high grow tent.
Thats 1000w total.
3000k all for flower so full cycle grow and the 4000k for vegging turn off when i flip.
Now thats would be 4-6 plants in 10 gallon smart pots.
Is this great option.
How much heat will this be?
You guys are just lining up L channel to fit the diameter of the housing and laying them float in the channels?I'll tell you what Budski I couldn't be happier with my Timber Grow DIY LED kits. Granted I'm only 3+- weeks into my first grow with them but I've never seen plants come out of the gate like these girls are and I'm including my preferred method which is under the sun. Thankfully I don't need to understand the science of lighting I just need to understand the plant. Frames were not available from Timber 5 or 6 months ago when i got my kits and looking back I'm glad I built my own frames. It gives me the flexibility to set my own foot print and possibly add some suplimental lighting but idk yet about that. I was a bit intimated by the DIY aspect but when I got down to putting them together it was stupid simple with all modular connections. One thing for sure is that I badgered the crap out of my salesman. If I could think of a question I asked it. I bought three 300W kits and had them pre-wired to a single dimmer. ( OK Potentiometer). I still don't know how to properly use the dimming and I've just been using it to acclimate the plants to a transplant or pinch. IDK.. Rookie frames but more than sufficient

Setting up the light like this allows me to slither down the side to tend them.

18 day roots...should have rolled them a little earlier but no foul.

No i do not have a reference point this is all new to me i just got the tent and buying what i need from there.Hard to say how much heat. Do you have a reference point?
I used to have a 1000w hid light. My 6" exhaust fan had to run 24/7 to keep it in the 80s.
With 4 200w timber kits I run my exhaust fan for 15 min every 30min and temps are lower.
I did the same of what you're saying. 4 200w cree kits from timber grow lights in a 5x5 it's about 800ppfd and first grow was about 2.5lbs.
You're the man BM9MAGS. I'm going to harbor freight and home Depot on Saturday. I'm going to build it and see what it looks likeYeah. On his vero kits he's using different heat sinks but the same can be done. I'll find the pic that shows it better. But it's super simple. I used hat channel, 2 bars to hold it all together. L channel for the heatsink rails and hat for the rails. Super simple.
For that grow it was 30 plants. All in 5 gallon. If you're getting 5 I say try to run a perpetual grow. Meaning you have plants growing from seed to teens in 1 area under 18/6 lights on/off then a flowering area with 12/12 on off scheme. That way when your flower room is harvested you can throw plants in to flower again and not need to wait 1-2 months for vegging. No i do not have a reference point this is all new to me i just got the tent and buying what i need from there.
Ok 2.5 pounds dried is good for me lol
How many plants did you grow in theee and how big of pots.
As long as i can keep heat do decent grow temp then i be good, what fan do you use to exhaust.
Is 3000k good?
Should i run all 5 setup through whole grow?.. 4 3000k plus the 1 4000k?
sry for all questions.

Thks for the link to the grow you did i will read it in a few min.For that grow it was 30 plants. All in 5 gallon. If you're getting 5 I say try to run a perpetual grow. The 30plants was over kill. We're doing 9 this time in 7gallon and expecting better results. Lots of ways to skin the cat.
