2x2 tent, cob setup question

With cobs you can veg/flower with the same spectrum, many people do. Currently Im using 4000k for veging lettuce, tomatoes and peppers. My favorite cobs Im running right now are 3000k 90cri which I bought over a year ago, but seem to be getting some additional attention lately. Its really up to you but I wouldnt go over 4000k or under 3000k.

OK I'm in. Maybe a day I will use it for peppers too (I am interested in growing greens and veggies too).
BTW if I have to get a cob setup only for vegetative stage, what is the best K temperature?

This is all you need for veg.... 4000k 1212 driven at 1.4a, I redid this using a holder tho... $12 for cob $10 for heatsink $15 for power $5 for cord, etc...

You sure made this easy! I copied this, except Im using 1.5a driver from ebay and 75w heatsink from cobkits. Just need 4' of alum angle iron, some nuts and screws

Do you know also lm/w at 1.4A by any chance? looking on citizen datasheet i coudn't find anything.
Max ampere from datasheet is 1.38A , 58.8W so should be 42.6V at 1.38A.

I'd like to run 5 cobs at ish 45W each one for a 2.3 tent but if i can' t use a 1.4A driver what could i do?...regards!

I was confused about this too but apparently they run at just over 36v at 1.4 amps (1400ma) which means you can run 4 of them on a hlg 185h c1400. Each cob would run at 50w unless you dim them.

so now the choice is above (I can't find 3500K CRI80 at a good price in europe)
CLU048-1212C4-403M2K1 (4000K- CRI80- 153 lm/W)
and
CLU048-1212C4-353H6K2 (3500K-CRI90- 119 lm/W)
5COBs run at 1.4A...i don't know actual voltage at 1.4A but i think i'd get more than 240W at full power(isn't it?)
I would like a veg+bloom spectrum...4000K is of course more efficient but 3500 has higher CRi and maybe a more cpmplete spectrum...but i'm asking you the best choice to do, i'm a quite complete ignorant in this field.

I chose the 1212 90 cri 3500k over the 80 cri because I preferred the spectrum. The reds peak at 630.

What about yield with your lamps?
I'd think to use one hlg-240-1400b driving 5 of these COBs, may be a good setup in your opinion?
Do you also use the holders with our citizen? if yes yes could i know the reason, they seem not solderless , maybe are they usefull to mount reflectors?

Yes, get the BJB holders @rocho. You dont have to solder the cobs and reflectors just twist in, go for the 80cri 4000k for veg, its what I use anyway
