How much longer until harvest?

I already posted this once about a week ago so I'm sorry for the double post I'm just getting really excited seeing all these buds haha, i guess i just need to learn patience lol. I've heard to wait till at least 50-60% of the white hairs turn orange? about 40% are orange while almost every single white hair has atleast a small tint of orange starting on the middle or the tips of the hair. I don't have a magnifying glass or anything but it looks like some of the trichomes might be turning an Amber color while the lower buds look frosty, any help would be great thanks!

get a good loupe bro. if you keep the hobby up itll make things way less complicated once you use it enough. Basically you look at differnet parts of the plant and see what the dominant trichome color is (clear, cloudy, or amber) mostly clear is not ready, mostly cloudy is psychadellic properties at peak, mostly amber getting you that couch locky feeling.

Edit:In my opinion i would let her go a while longer. she still has a lot of fresh white hairs... just my .02

Get your self a microscope or jewellers loupe and check the trichomes (frosty stuff), and see if THEY are Amber ,cloudy or clear..I'd give it a week or two more as looks like buds could swell more (imo). What medium you using ,lights , how long they be flowering for.? More details = more accurate feedback ..! Good luck happy growing

Wait at least until all hairs resides to the calyx and swell., In the last 2 weeks is when u get the most weight., Dont get impatient now. How many weeks she been flowering for? Wait like 2 more weeks and post pics again., You can always harvest the tops and leave the bottoms to mature more.. GL. By the way she looks awesome good job!!

If you harvest too early - triches will be immature , hay smell and shitty smoke.

Your plants look killer but you got to get it right !

You can check out Trichomes using your digital camera.
Here are the steps:

1) Put your digital camera in Macro mode (this is the setting that looks like a flower)
2)Get as close as possible to a bud with Trichomes.
3) Transfer the picture to your computer.
4) open in up in a editing program (Photoshop, Paint etc...) and zoom into the picture.

And there are clip on phone lenses ... Super cheap.

Plus there is MY DIY THREAD on this subject.

Im on the 7th week of flower, using fox farm ocean forest soil with the fox farm trio nutrients but I stopped using nutes and flushed 5 days ago, I'm using a 250w hps and a 132w viparspectra led for the side light.

I found a magnifying glass with an additional jewelers loupe type thing that actually works pretty good and it looks like every trichome on the upper portion of the cola are cloudy white and there are some that are starting to turn Amber, the lower part of the colas are all frosty but some of the triches are still slightly clear but the cloudy ones outnumber the clear by a long shot all the lower buds have more white hairs as well.

i still say another week or two at least, but from the pic looks like you are forming quite a bit of milky...is it like that over several differnt parts of her or just one specific area?

It's like that over most of the buds the amber color is more near the very tops, and the bottoms are just milky but still have a lot of white hairs. And I'm looking for a couch lock/ pain relief type high, I guess just the dankest I can get it haha

You need a better loupe. 60x magnification will make it so easy. You will see the heads swell, you will see no clear ones and a few ambers when they are ready. If you can just make yourself wait until they are ready it will be so worth it in taste, smell, and weight.

Let it/them go for a week or two and you'll see calyx's swell.. You should also have loads more Amber n just a couple of brown pistils in amongst your fattened buds.! Try post more pics in a week or so.. Good luck

Alright it's been about a week and they're looking pretty nice I'm going to do a flush tonight, should I go another week? I also ordered a loupe that should be here tomorrow.

Yeah bro. They look great. Really you go by trichs but since your not doing that yet, I don't see much aging in the hairs (foxtailing) I'd say a week more will do you fine. Looking DANK.
