so i don't live in america but i have read that Washington, California and Oregon " i think" legaliized cannabis for both medical and recreational use but what does that actually mean?
what i mean is how many plants can you grow?
how much weed can you actually have? eg dry bud that is ready to smoke
and can you just start a business now like in amsterdam and start selling ?
i'm am just really interested to know how it works there now and what differences it has actually made on the area "have you seen loads of coffee shops starting up where you can buy weed"
It means you can legally carry small amounts of cannabis in public. It does NOT mean you can smoke it in public, nor sell it without a license, or smoke and drive or even grow it yourself in certain states.
There are now a total of 8 states with recreational legal cannabis.
No coffeehouses where you can walk in and smoke, only dispensaries to buy it. You can smoke as much as you want but you are limited in how much you can buy at a time, usually an ounce at a time, 28g.
Amsterdam has outlawed cannabis and is closing coffeehouses. Their tourism industry has suffered greatly so I expect this to be reversed soon.
In Colorado and Oregon you can grow 6 plants per person. To grow more in Colorado, you need a medical card, I'm not sure about laws in other states.
I bet that didn't help you feel less confused, did it? Lol
