Day 8: Peep the mutha-truckin' pix! 2nd set of leaves is blowing up.

Pissed off! My new big CFL moved and burned one of the first leaves off. Damn.

I had it set up on a positionable camera tripod, and it just settled down in the night barely touching one of the leaves, burned it good. I just clipped it off I think it will be fine.

DAY 9: Nothing really going on. Just got a new set of leaves starting on each side. This will be the third & fourth set.

Day 9 Cont. : Also added another CFL just a bitch 15w but its more light

Now a total of 89 watts and 6250 lumens.

shot is pretty blurry but it does look a lil like heat stress to me.

Heat Stress:

But heat stress can sometimes be confused with Light stress(When the plant is taking in too much light so it will curl, cup or angle the leaves to reduce the amount of light on the leaf's surface. Too much light can sometimes stress the plant, hence the term Light Stress) or Wind burn(when you have the fan blowing directly onto the plant it can cause burns called wind burns, make sure the fan is indirectly blowing on your plant to prevent this)

These are all pics from my grow journal of my first grow so I've pretty much done everything you can do to a plant to kill it (not intentionally though) and Im gonna end up with about 2oz off of 3 plants but hey its QUALITY over QUANTITY right?

Day 11:New leaves are growing pretty well. Everything looks really healthy considering... Another new set of leaves showed up also.


I know these pictures suck. The focusing mechanism in my Nikon f*cked up on me. I apologize.

I'll keep an eye on your grow. I'm probably only a day behind you, if not even. I went with the tube flourescents and hydro for now. I would like to see which does better and this is a good barometer. Good luck.

Day 12:Some new growth. Also, started putting it outside during the day for some natural light. We'll see how that works out. Also started a VERY WEAK nutrient dose in the water today. About 20% of the recommended amount.

Day 15: Lots of new growth! The last four sets of leaves are turning really crystallized. You can see it in the daylight, looks like sugar on the leaves. I have never heard of this happening in Veg!?

THE SMELL ARRIVED!

My grow room is starting to reek of dank kron. LOL. The plant itself smells like some of the nugs I have right now, pretty dank.

Day 16: About the same as yesterday. Some small new growth. Four tiny little leaves appeared in the center that were not visible yesterday.
