Registered Pesticides
As of May 12, 2015, there are seven registered pesticides approved by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency for use on cannabis (marijuana) that is produced commercially indoors. They are:
- MilStop® Foliar Fungicide
- Actinovate® SP Fungicide
- Opal Insecticidal Soap
- Neudosan Commercial
- Kopa Insecticidal Soap
- Rootshield® HC Biological Fungicide Wettable Powder
- Rootshield® WP Biological Fungicide

Adherence to Good Production Practices
Section 52(1) of the MMPR prohibits a licensed producer from selling or providing dried marijuana unless the
Good Production Practices set forth in Division 4 of the MMPR have been met. This includes the requirements for use of pesticides.
Non-compliance
In the event that an unregistered pesticide is used on marijuana plants that are intended for sale or provision, Health Canada will require licensed producers to destroy the marijuana plants and/or dried marijuana, and/or proceed with a recall if the product has already been sold.
