The official RIU computer thread. Seems like we need a computer thread. Or maybe I just want a thread to talk about computers.

Anywho, my interest in computers has been sparked again. I'm thinking of slowly rebuilding a desktop computer but I'm torn on what case to start with. What do you guys think of this case....

pardon my ignorance, and pardon the off topic inquiry, but can you explain to me why I have to have my laptop updated like every fuckin couple days?
is it to upload all the dirty porn I watch?
or to make sure i'm not tryin to assemble phosphoric-shrapnel bombs?

I wanted to choke someone when they changed my operating software without me knowing it.
I was mad-as-hell.. like throwing-shit mad.
anyways.
I can tell you everything there is to know about engines..
but computers I know very little about..

it's run by microscopic rodents on hamster-wheels, no?
 
Who cares about the case it's what's inside that matters. I build my computer's as I'm kinda picky what I want, and its alot more fun! I7 k series with a Nvidia 1080 and gobs of RAM and of course a SSD, that's what I would get if I was spending g your money lol.

Shit man, half the point of building your own computer is for it to look cool and not look like every other piece of black or off gray aluminum.
 
Personally I want a black box that you never even notice, I like looking at the screen. I can't stand all of the lights and clear cases and bs they sell for a tower, I would rather power more fans than led lights so you can see the insides. The op has a good case there, lots of airflow and no blinking lights! My computer is in the living room so I don't want it to draw any attention.

This is the one I have right now, Armor A60,and I was wrong its a mid tower not a full tower :eyesmoke:, been going for 5 years or so.
 
It seems people are having trouble finding my brand new, state of the art, official, supreme, meat lovers, extra cheese, high tech, awesome computer thread. So I'm going to just bump this to make it easier to find this fine public service thread. @Football could just make it a sticky too.
