Dispensary bagseed

Hey guys, I'm looking for thoughts on some dispense bagseed? I found 2 Bruce Banner from an 8th and 1 Christmas Cookies seed from a gram. They both tested at around 25 percent THC. You can tell the Bruce Banner was grown outdoors. I'm kinda thinking about running them and seeing if there is potential here. Has anyone done this with high quality weed?

I've had good luck with bagseed, but your seeds sound like they are unstable and will probably herm. Why? Because you found too many. If there are 2 or 3 seeds per zip, they are probably fine. But when you find lots of them, it's a bad thing.
If you do the math, Bruce Banner had ~16 seeds per zip. CC had ~28!

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. The Bruce Banner is some of the best I've smoked, definitely top 3. I might try them anyway. Thanks

An individual seed is produced when a grain of pollen comes in contact with a stamin of the plant. I don't know how that creates hermies; I think it's just another myth.

Wow.
You should do more research into cannabis hermaphroditism.
It is mostly genetic, although some strains are very sensitive to stress, which can also cause a hermie here and there. I know guys who say their plants will herm if they look at them wrong, but the final product is worth the risk. They just have to make sure their plants are *always* happy -- and that ain't easy.
Personally, I like stable strains because I'm a bit of a rogue when it comes to growing. If the genetics are stable, you can be rough with them and they always bounce back -- with zero hermies.
A little too dry, no problem.
A lot of UVB, no problem.
Minor nute deficiencies, no problem.
Over-trimmed, no problem.
Some light leakage, no problem.

Fuck that exotic shit. I ain't got time to babysit.

Most of the bag seeds you find in pot like that got there because the plants they came from popped a male flower or two early in flowering so they carry the hermie gene. Doesn't mean that all plants grown from those seeds will be hermie but at least 1/3 will from my past experiences growing seeds like that. Worth a shot but take clones from any girls that grow and discard any that come from a mother that hermies when you flower out the moms. Any mom that doesn't grow balls should be OK and the clone(s) from those can be used for mothers to keep you in decent pot.

Any plant of any strain can go hermie as that's just the way pot is. If you keep a plant flowering longer than it should many will produce 'nanners in an attempt to pollinate itself and that pollen can be used to make fem seeds that shouldn't hermie. When you get balls early in flowering then any seeds from that pollen will have a lot of hermies in the seed produced from it.

There has been so much mixing of strains that almost everything but landrace strains are mongrels and not to be trusted for breeding until grown out without producing balls or 'nanners.

:peace:

Some good and bad answers here. Come on guys, have some optimisim. I've had fire fire dispensary buds that I've found a seed in. Island sweet skunk... got one seed and it turned out to be a fucking amazing female.

Chunky stool you cant do the math on something random and unpredictable, sorry. Unless you saw that whole ounce... there wasn't 20+ seeds.

You don't understand statistics do you?
Do you know what a margin of error is?
Given this miniscule sample size, margin of error is huge -- so you are right in a way. There could have been less than 20 seeds, OR there could have been considerably more (30+).
