Merrill Lynch. They offered themselves for sale, and got the buy-out. Unlike Lehman Bros. who couldn't find anyone to bail them out.

The problem is that the cash may end up being worthless. But, only for so long, right? ;)

Way ahead of ya dizzy... reason I moved the fuck away from Chicago..

Closets are nice and stocked, got at least 3-4 months worth of food and drinking water in there right now.. very reassuring to know you're prepared with how bleak things look.. we spend about 100 bucks a week on food, half of that goes straight into the closet.. you just can't be too prepared..

Silvers another thing to stock up on, at least it'll keep it's value vs. this paper crap..

We haven't used a bank in nearly a year...f*ck them...

I figure another 12-18 months before the complete collapse.. though there's many things that could speed it up intensely..

planning on heading to the mountains? being in the city is going to be hell.

awesome job on preparing though milf! if people don't get ready, they will have nothing when it's too late... especially if food is taken off shelves.

My avatar is my backyard Dizzy.. we're in the middle of no where.. very hilly region here- lots of national forests and farms as well.. plenty of gun toting neighbors. I think all will be well here..

Very... and the night time sky is to die for when there are no clouds.. fishing lake 2 miles up the road is one direction, huge national park 2 miles the other way.. it's a slice of heaven.. only 400 a month.. lol.. so glad to get the fuck out of the city..

Gotta own that property. OWN IT! :)

I am already in the mountains, but flying to L.A. and back last week I saw how small the Sierras really are. I could see right across 'em into the desert and the Owens Valley. :( They seem so big while I'm in 'em.

If I could own some property right now I would.. but right now we have to rent either way, rather be renting in the country than the city.. Hopefully next year or the next..
