People Who know about this light please help Mars Hydro 300

Hello. I got off work last night and found out one of my friends hooked me up and bought this for me. It should be here by tuesday.

Anyone who knows about these lights could you please fill me in on some things..

How many plants could this light?

Is it a decent light???? Hell it's gotta be better than my 180 watt ufo which has diodes going out in it.

The light is a Mars Hydro 300.. I'm pretty sure it's 60x5 watts.

thats basically a one plant light, the effective footprint during flower is 1.5x1.5 feet, but you're right, it'll be better than your ufo

You could probably do a 2'x2' flowing space with that, however many pants you think you can fit in there depending on what technique you use. I have no hands on experience with this particular lamp, just what I've read. search for that lamp on here and you will get some decent info.

You could run both lights at the same time which will give you greater coverage.

Bought one for supplemental lighting more than anything. I'm running a Parus 2 inline, 2 lush dominator, vertical 120watt light and the mars hydro now.

It's well built and pretty bright for the price, doesn't have ir or uv though.

I got 3 of them from a friend last month and added them as side lights to add to the t5s up top, i definately notice a difference! They don't put out alot of heat and you can hang them all sorts of ways.. good buy!

I'm using the Mars Hydro 300w with my grow right now and they are pretty amazing. I have grown two plants very successfully under 1 of these lights. I also have 4 Blue Dream plants under 2 of these lights at the moment, and they are doing extremely well. I attached some pics

The light came in today do what I did is I am now using the Mars 300 with my 180 watt UFO.


mars 300 is finishing up transiberian auto while 180 vegges a nirvana blue mystic i topped a bunch.. When auto is done I will put the blue mystic under both lights and hope for a fat girl.


Kudos on Blue Dream .. Thats my favorite strain of all time.. Next round I have these seeds to choose from.. Reserva Privada OG 18 .. Speed Seeds Diesel Auto.. or Simply Female seeds Honey Haze.

after a few months of use.. I'll tell ya it's a damn good light especially for the price.. You can do 2 plants with one or 3 autos in smaller pots.

I like mine so much im gonna ditch my 180 watt ufo and get another mars 300

Today is the start of week 3 since he flip. Every lady in the cab showed pistils between day 5-6.

The clones are very greedy so there is some early yellowing, nothing that can't be fixed.

If these light aren't great, I guess ill learn the hard way. Going strong since October, i'm very happy with the current results.

you'll be alright trust me. I was curious how many plants under mars 600 during flower? my friend has a setup I built for him and he uses a single mars 600. he is currently scrogging 1 plant (reserva privada OG1 I gave him the seed for his 1st grow. I got him setup with ocean forest soil, mars 600, a scrog net with pvc base. fox farm liquid trio nutes and im gonna give him the rest of my solubles since my GO GO Box comes in today.

I personally use a mars 300 and a 180 watt ufo and a 60 actual watt 2700k cfl and a 23 watt cfl 2700k.


I just added the cfls last night for the last couple weeks of flower. I have 3-4 weeks left max.

If ya'll want to get one of the best fans on the market thats dirt cheap.. check out the honeywell turboforce 900 air circulator.. shipped to your door on amazon its like 20 bucks. i have one coming in today and have heard nothing but good things on them.

Actually its 6 plants. The clones from my last grow get the majority of the light. The 4 girls in the back were under T5s for the first 2 weeks then they came in the cab and under 12/12. I added the CFLs to cover the back end of the cab. I never observed any of the plants in the back leaning towards the panel, they all seem to be pretty happy with no signs of inadequate light. Its my first full run with this panel so there is still much to learn.

As far as nutrients go, i've been experimenting with a few. They all were fed BGI Grow and Gain twice during veg, then I switch them over to JPeters Bloom Booster 2 weeks before the flip. The soil has added Epsom salt and hydrated lime(no issues yet) to ward off possible CAL/MAG issues. The clones did show deficiencies briefly but it did not progress. Between feedings they will be getting a diluted solution of fresh coconut water. Again, its very experimental.

experimenting is how people come up with new killer techniques so keep up the good work.

I was exclusively using fox farm liquids and the 3 powders but yesterday I got general organics GO Box in the mail and will be trying that out next go round.

I did like using the 6 fox farm products though (big bloom/tiger bloom/grow big/beastie blooms/open sesame/cha ching) .. Im at the end of a grow with a blue mystic i vegged for damn near 10 weeks and topped 4 times. she is being fed cha ching now.. 2 more weeks and she should be done. she has been hard to keep her standing up... next time I've learned if you top alot you NEED to SCROG at bitch so she wont be all floppy.
