Circuit breaker on? Ballast plugged in? Does the ballast get warm but no light? You wiped off any and all fingerprints from the bulb before you turned it on right? Try unplugging and replugging all connections, remove bulb and make sure base is contacting the bulb. Report back.

didnt wipe off all fingerprints from bulb before letting it run, ballast fan is running it is digital so it doesnt really get hot.

I just got 600 hps from HTG and the digital ballast and now your scaring me? I'm keeping close watch on this post. I did not get a cord I was supposed to get and they got it right to me so i have no problems with HTG so far. I wonder how important the wiping of the prints were and why am I just hearing about this now did it say it in the instructions?

If its brownout and power surges causing the bulbs to blow then go to Wal Mart and buy a UPS ( Uninterruptable Power Supply) they cost like $75 and will condition the power and run on battery in case of power outtage. Won't last long on battery mode, but that is lesser point, they conditon the power is the main point.

I have a love hate thing going with HTG. Great service, great price, but things are always going wrong with their equipment. If you did a search for "htg" on this forum you would probably find over 100 posts of people saying how happy they were with HTG b/c they warrantied a bad bulb/ballast. Why are they having to warranty so much product? These are expensive crops we're growing and having a ballast go bad in the middle of the night is no good. It's cool that they warranty their stuff, but I think I'm at the point now where I'd rather pay more and not have to send stuff back every few weeks/months. My .02cents.

I keep extras too, like it was said we have a high dollar crop, mines is medical and legal, so you need to spend the money to not have it go wrong. They will fix it for you, they are trying anyways. It's not like their saying fuck you. Instead they are making the effort to be a good business. I stand by them.

Its hard to know what to think because all I heard was good until the bulb went out and then i searched and other people were having problems with ballasts and bulbs. They are a great service no doubt since they guarantee stuff.

Yeah, it's usually the cheap growbright/agro stuff that people have problems with. If you get one of their digital electronic ballasts and upgrade to a sunmaster bulb you should be fine IMO.
