I got a 40 watt retro Blues Deluxe tube amp on Fender Day a couple years ago. Fabulous if you're keeping it in one location. Tubes are kinda fragile, you can't bang it around like a solid state.
But the tone, the tone!

tubes have the warmest tone. i have an old peavey solid state i play a pretty good amount. it actually sounds really good once you get it dialed in. some of the newer Vox amps that are solid state also play real real well. the only tube head i have left is an Orange. love it, barely play it though out of fear of blowing the tubes lol

do it.. i think the classics are made in mexico.. couple hundred more you can get yourself an american with better hardware. but then youre up around a thousand bucks. the difference though is pretty noticable. nicer neck and they play better

I got a tobacco burst Mexican strat I like a lot. I threw new pick ups in it and new tuners. I like it a lot. If I bring a guitar out it's that one so I'm not too worried about scratches and dings. But the neck is the main difference between that and my American standard. They are all decent except the squires. But if youre already going to spend 800 you might as well spend the thousand lolYeah done a lot of research on the MIM variety. No thanks.
